Great day. Pity I had to cash in a CFD to pay for wife's new car. But plenty left. Reckon its just been the buying pressure which has included some institutional buying given teh Level 2 picture reported. We've broken into new ground so tomorrow could see another leg up, possibly towards 25p, perhaps 26p. The sellers didn't come in in any volume at 22.5p so they may well wait now until the momentum slows. All this and we are still waiting for order announcements. Proves IIdiots points. He is bang on the ball, the price shouldn't be going up like this. Its not really fair on the BPRGs of this world. So he is trying to soften SEO up for a legal riposte from BPRG. Another windmill for the windbag! They can always wait for the crumbs from under the rich man's table. Perhaps he is in Israel learning about Abraham and Lazarus!

News just out, not yet showing on this board that I see:-

....."Stanelco moving ahead to market Greenseal to leading US grocers, including Wal-Mart, Albertson's, Krogers, Von's, Ralphs and Safeway......"

I have it on my Reuters screen, announced at 9am. Long annoucement but the only "new" bit to me is the mention of progress/talks (?) with all the aforementioned US retailers

Stanelco's GREENSEAL Packaging Technology Poised to Revolutionize Food Packaging Worldwide

ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 17, 2005--Grocers and retailers accustomed to selling meat, vegetables and other perishable foods in familiar thermal heat-sealed packaging can now turn to an entirely new packaging technology that employs radio frequency to create the tightest, most efficient seal available in packaging anywhere in the world.

GREENSEAL, a revolutionary new packaging application that uses radio frequency (RF) technology, is already capturing the attention of retailers and grocers in the United Kingdom and North America. Created by Stanelco PLC (LSE:SEO.L), GREENSEAL has the potential to revolutionize how consumable products are packaged and sold in markets worldwide.

Stanelco, whose core business is the application of radio frequency technology in non-retailing industries, developed its GREENSEAL packaging technology almost by accident.

"We are thrilled at the quality and integrity of the RF weld on mono-plastics," explained Stanelco spokesperson and newly appointed Director of U.S. Operations Stephanie Morgan-Fisher.

"The seal integrity possesses less than a one percent leakage factor. Its return-to-manufacturer (RTM) rate is also less than one percent, annually realizing savings of millions of dollars for retailers," said Morgan-Fisher,

Applied to the case-ready food industry, the implications for GREENSEAL are enormous. The sealing application can totally redefine how grocers package and present food to shoppers, while reducing the amount of damage significantly.

Stanelco has recently signed an exclusive agreement in the United Kingdom with ASDA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wal-Mart. This agreement will facilitate the retrofit of 100 ASDA supplier heat-sealing machines to Stanelco's GREENSEAL technology.

Recent trials with ASDA's seafood supplier Young's Bluecrest exceeded expectations. ASDA reported a 21 percent increase in consumer sales of Young's Bluecrest packaged seafood, directly attributable to GREENSEAL technology.

To facilitate the retrofitting process in North America, Stanelco is working with Premier Technology, Pocatello, Idaho, whose engineers have trained in retrofit operations at Stanelco's new facility in Southampton, England. A team of Premier Technology engineers has already completed training and familiarization with the methodologies necessary to convert complex thermal heat-sealing packaging machinery to GREENSEAL RF sealing technology and prepare to initiate operations in the United States.

While vastly improved seal integrity is the top benefit offered by GREENSEAL, cost savings and environmental compatibility are two other important features that will attract grocers and retailers to GREENSEAL.

Pressured to increase revenues and profits, despite upwardly spiraling operating costs, retailers can reduce the cost of packaging materials by 20 percent using GREENSEAL. The application replaces laminated plastics with less expensive mono plastics, which can be easily recycled. Energy costs required to produce the tray lids and thermoformed packages can be reduced by nearly 70 percent annually by utilizing GREENSEAL.

Stanelco is already moving ahead to market GREENSEAL to leading U.S. grocers and retailers, including Wal-Mart, Albertson's, Midwestern retailing giant Kroger's, California-based Von's, Ralph's and Safeway, and others. Stanelco has opened a North American office in Orlando, Fla., to coordinate international sales and implementation efforts for Stanelco.

Stanelco PLC, headquartered in Southampton, England, was founded in 1953. Stanelco is engaged in the commercialization of new applications, innovations, products and processes based on radio frequency (RF) technologies. More information: http://www.Stanelco.co.uk.

treikiman, it was posted earlier by biscuit. i saw that too. the only company mentioned upto today was walmart so it was a little surprising to see others mentioned. good news though.

EWRobson - 17 May 2005 22:37 - 4190 of 27111

Thanks treikiman. Posted in the early hours so could help to explain strong market today. I see Wall Street ahs finished strongly so bodes well for the morrow. Don't see SEO needs to do an exclusivity deal in US. Onwards and ever upwards.

Johnny the Fox - 18 May'05

You just take care mate. This might go tits up. I sincerely hope not , but would not like to see anyone loose on this.
Fact 1. No contracts confirmed.
Fact 2. Very little cash in bank.
Fact 3. Cash flow minimal.
Fact 4. Interims abysmal at the very least.
Fact 5. Court case looming which may not go in our favour.
Great product but, at the moment, no apparent buyers.
Don't get me wrong on this, I hold seo big time, but we are dealing with a high risk investment here. So you be cautious. good luck.

Johnny - very true - the rise today is that the the US newswires have been pestered into reporting the old news - and of course as there is a new US office pushing old news - make the statement that SE0 "want to" yes - obvious they would want to - speak to US suppliers. The spin crew immediatly jump on this - as planned - and make hay. They do a good job though and people are willing to get sucked in - a news wire report of them wanting to speak to grocers and supliers - would be like ARX reporting they want to speak to airlines - dumb dumb.

With over 1000 machine conversion orders now in the price (which will not be got this year - or maybe ever) the SP is grossly overvalued and still no confirmed orders - and if some ORDERS come watch those MARGINS on them for big discounting over broker forecast figures.

I am off on my trip now and back in a few weeks - don't let the spin crew wrap you into any false sense of security - they will spin more and more in the coming weeks - more trial results rubbish - more salad news - no reference data but extravagent claims - given how they did what they did today - more pestering of over US news wires to print old news and then the ramp crew linking to it on all BBs in the UK.

Did you find PM1s comment funny - "I posted it on the Walmart employee BB" yes Paul - you are emailing every news service and trying to get SE0 Greenseal mentioned everywhere to support your ramping - but its down to ORDERS - MARGINS - REVENUE - people will see through him soon - most have already !

Market cap 207M when those extra shares come in on the 20th May - 100K turnover ? 1.4M loss at interims ? very likely big dilution with share issue for cash coming soon - its like playing Russian Roulette - someone will be holding these when the bullet comes - everyone just passing it around and trying not to get their fingers burned (watch those big sells)

Current trading pattern (and spin pattern) would mean most shorters will take their positions from mid/end June onwards - maybe a little later.

Have fun whilst I am away in Israel and BACK SOON.

bosley - 18 May 2005 07:10 - 4193 of 27111

morning all. ssanebs, in the uk rns announcing the asda deal the figure was a few hundred. in yesterdays usa announcement they said this...

"Stanelco has recently signed an exclusive agreement in the United Kingdom with ASDA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wal-Mart. This agreement will facilitate the retrofit of 100 ASDA supplier heat-sealing machines to Stanelco's GREENSEAL technology. "

i would guess somewhere inbetween. i remember reading asda have 400 machines.
