THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Fred1new - 05 Jun 2014 19:09 - 41965 of 81564

And Manuel the new God has written!

Fred1new - 05 Jun 2014 19:14 - 41966 of 81564

Manuel is sounding more and more like Ozymandias with delusions of grandeur!

goldfinger - 05 Jun 2014 19:14 - 41967 of 81564

Yep just who does he think he is Fred!!!!!!!!!!!.

The blog made a very good point that the right wing press at every turn are trying to aide and abet the tory party by trying to twist things that are especially associated with the labour party.

And Hays is talking wet again, I got the article off twiter I havent a clue about the author he is just one of many bloggers I use, unlike Hays who believes the Telegraph is the Bible.

Fred1new - 05 Jun 2014 19:28 - 41968 of 81564

I thought Hazy one uses the Daily Wail!

cynic - 05 Jun 2014 19:35 - 41969 of 81564

oh just carry on you two nerks .... but don't think that just because you say something often enough it will convince anyone to agree, let alone that it will become truth

goldfinger - 05 Jun 2014 19:36 - 41970 of 81564

Uses anything that backs his warped ideas up.

goldfinger - 05 Jun 2014 19:38 - 41971 of 81564

Ohhh shut up Alf/Manuel.

Get Hays dinner in the oven.

Is it true you are Enoch Powels Love Child!!!!!

hilary - 05 Jun 2014 19:49 - 41972 of 81564

And you were his rent boy, I suppose?

goldfinger - 05 Jun 2014 19:51 - 41973 of 81564

And you his slag.

cynic - 05 Jun 2014 20:01 - 41974 of 81564

why do you have to be aggressive and insulting when people refuse to be swayed (bullied?) by you?

Haystack - 05 Jun 2014 20:06 - 41975 of 81564

It is a real knockabout tonight.

I love the idea of gf being Enoch's rent boy.

Haystack - 05 Jun 2014 20:10 - 41976 of 81564

cynic - 05 Jun 2014 20:11 - 41978 of 81564

please don't try to bully me; it doesn't work

goldfinger - 05 Jun 2014 20:15 - 41979 of 81564

I dont bully anyone, I never threaten anyone, when I do say something it is a fact.... it happens.

That might be hard for you to get your head around.

goldfinger - 05 Jun 2014 20:17 - 41980 of 81564

Hays, Saddleworth Ohhhhhhhhh nobody here goes anywhere near that place.

goldfinger - 05 Jun 2014 20:22 - 41981 of 81564

Hays was a page boy one year for the whitsun parade.

After the walk through the village all the band and the elders used to go the pub and get pissed.

Whitsun (also Whitsunday, Whit Sunday or Whit) is the name used in the UK and Ireland[1] for the Christian festival of Pentecost, the seventh Sunday after Easter, which commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon Christ's disciples (Acts of the Apostles chapter 2). In England it took on some characteristics of Beltane, which originated from the pagan celebration of Summer's Day, the beginning of the summer half-year, in Europe.[2] Whitsuntide, the week following Whitsunday, was one of three vacation weeks for the medieval villein;[3] on most manors he was free from service on the lord's demesne this week, which marked a pause in the agricultural year.[4] Whit Monday, the day after Whitsun, remained a holiday in the UK until 1971 when the movable holiday was replaced with the fixed Spring Bank Holiday in late May. Whit was the occasion for varied forms of celebration. In the North West of England, church and chapel parades called Whit Walks still take place at this time (sometimes on Whit Friday, the Friday after Whitsun).[5] Typically, the parades include brass bands and choirs; girls attending are dressed in white. Traditionally, Whit fairs (sometimes called Whitsun ales[6]) took place. Other customs such as morris dancing[7] are associated with Whit, although in many cases they have been transferred to the Spring Bank Holiday.
