Whats going on at Virtue Broadcasting? (VTB)

skids - 24 Sep 2003 11:03

I bought into these some time ago, and they haven't really moved much for a while after initial links with Music co, etc. However, this week has showed some interest, anyone know whats going on?

ckmtang - 06 Nov 2003 14:18 - 42 of 97

but y they suddenly rise back? I keep on eye on this share for few days they rise and drop back frequency....

AdieH - 06 Nov 2003 14:20 - 43 of 97

Yeah dont understand, must be someone building a holding, could be good news in
the long term.

skids - 06 Nov 2003 14:21 - 44 of 97

The rise is all about the lottery bid (contract), the fall I guess is profit taking.

martincoops - 11 Nov 2003 13:07 - 45 of 97

Down 12%. Lets hope some good news comes soon....

AdieH - 11 Nov 2003 13:20 - 46 of 97

Yeah, seeing all (paper) profit gained, slowing disappearing

skyhigh - 11 Nov 2003 13:33 - 47 of 97

Does anyone know what this "good news" "bid" is all about and when it will become a reality ?....Profit reducing all the time. Is it time to drop out yet- before it disappears altogether ?

skids - 11 Nov 2003 15:00 - 48 of 97

The "good news" is about a bid to win the contract to host the new daily lottery via the web. VTB are 1 of 2 companies in the running, but there is no date set for the annoucement of the winner (to my knowledge).

martincoops - 12 Nov 2003 10:02 - 49 of 97

Looking like a good day for a change..

Now up 10% :-))

AdieH - 12 Nov 2003 11:23 - 50 of 97

yeah, happy days are here again (we hope)..

AdieH - 12 Nov 2003 13:12 - 51 of 97

large buy volumes going through, why is the bid price not moving.... Dont quite understand why the bid price aint moving? Can anyone help?

in_2_art - 12 Nov 2003 13:22 - 52 of 97

AdieH
you may find that large volumes are offen delayed up to a few hours before showing. so dont panic...
the future is about to get better 's

AdieH - 12 Nov 2003 13:27 - 53 of 97

I have a small holding and up around 80% just thought I would get out..... Like
all things being abit greedy, should I get out and get back in if price drops?

in_2_art - 12 Nov 2003 13:41 - 54 of 97

Thats the $69,000,000 question, if we all knew that answer
honestly thou, its not really for me or anyone else to tell you what to do, but if it was my chose, i'd stay in, from now to january anything could happen...
hopefully the red days are behind us now, and blue days a head x'fingers.
good luck what ever you decide and that goes for every one :o)

ajren - 12 Nov 2003 13:44 - 55 of 97

The graph appears - to me - to be showing almost constant upside since the
August low which I THINK ended on 13 th August. At that point was announced
the acquistion of Viewpoint media of Australia. However,I only know that
about the company and that might be only a coincidence.
Best of luck with it.

Off for a sandwich and jog now to relax a bit.

AdieH - 12 Nov 2003 13:45 - 56 of 97

Thanx for that, only looking for input i know the decision is mine but a nice
decision to make me thinks : - )

AdieH - 12 Nov 2003 15:18 - 57 of 97

All these buys and yet the bid price still remaining at 6p, whats going on...

ajren - 12 Nov 2003 18:54 - 58 of 97

I suggest you follow every stage from Australian deal on 13 th August

ckmtang - 14 Nov 2003 12:27 - 59 of 97

seemed quiet for a while any news?

ajren - 14 Nov 2003 18:43 - 60 of 97

Unable to find any. However,I often find no news is good news

ricardopage - 19 Nov 2003 09:48 - 61 of 97

Things are definately afoot at VTB this is from the RNS for the new placing at 4p

"We have decided to take advantage of the recent improvements in the share
price to strengthen the Company's balance sheet. The fact that the business can
attract this additional investment is a testament to our improving situation',
commented Mike Neville, Chairman. 'Additionally, we are now seeing increasing
opportunities for vertical integration which will improve shareholder value."

it's the last sentence that caught my eye and follows on from previous comments by the chairman about consolidation.
