A year ago I bought Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2003.

It does not contain Publisher which I now need.

Can somone point me to the best place to buy the Publisher that is missing, please?

You probably need one of those copies of Office 2k3 Pro with a VLK that they were selling on eBay a while back for around 10, TP. Pro includes Publisher, Frontpage and some other goodies.

Incidentally, is anybody else having problems with McAfee auto update atm?

Can anyone suggest an easy way out of this please. Every time I switch on the computer the file for System32 appears and I have to turn it off with the buttom at top right. This is a huge file containing all the systems which make the computer work and I would like to know how I can prevent it showing without upsetting things.

There are a number of software programs free on the internet that you run and then put the cursor over the password and it will reveal it if it shown as invisible. If you have a blank password field then....

START/RUN Type REGEDIT

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.

All the items in here represents a program launched at start-up. Each value's data holds the command to be executed. If the command is blank or contains just a character in double quotation marks, this missing data can cause Windows Explorer to display the System32 folder at start-up.

Look carefully at each value in the right-hand pane. If the value's data is blank, contains only single quotation marks, or otherwise appears to be corrupted, delete the value. Repeat the process for the other key, then restart your system.

Do not delete anything you are not sure about! You can select FILE/EXPORT and save it somewhere before deleting to make sure.

Also a handy way of finding nasties. Go to those two files and delete anything that looks dodgy e.g XXXSEX.exe, POPUP.exe

etc.

I stand to be corrected,but i think i am right in saying the Sempron is AMDs cut down version what Celeron is to Intel,i have them in most of my machines and have had no trouble with them. for they are great chips.

I think i would wait for a verdict from someone else before going ahead with buying one !!!!

TP, I really wouldn't go near those sites. Again, why not look on eBay? Make sure you get a copy with a key though.
