CMS Webview What is the potential for this share ? (CWV)

GEOFFREY.R - 01 Nov 2003 16:46

I bought shares in this company at 4.5p in September 2003. I see they are rising. Can anyone tell me please the growth potential for this company as they have just been awarded several new contracts ?

axe79 - 22 Nov 2003 11:37 - 421 of 1924

jflet.....This is only the begining for this share, if you read the information about the company you will see why. Its important to do your own research into a share, otherwise you cannot form your own views. It is your money that you are investing, you must feel comfortable with your decisions. You will read misinformation as well, that is sometimes posted, its important to have made some takes for yourself. Good luck, I hope this helps you.

Morning gameboy

game_boy - 22 Nov 2003 11:48 - 423 of 1924

morning axe...can't keep up with all the places CWV is being talked about !!

The significance of a statement in the press releases yesterday has just sunk in big time !!! Remember this media campaign will be being carefully coordinated by their PR agency...who will know most of what's happening from their briefings with directors....

"Mr Antell plans to go on the sales offensive in the new year, opening a Chicago or New York office to back up the London operations."

That's not a maybe...perhaps...or city speculation.....that IS THE COMPANY's PLAN !!

Bearing in mind they already have 2 clients in the US.....and undoubtedly have been prospecting several more over recent months.....they must be very confident of their current US pipeline being converted to sales to invest in opening US offices....perhaps on the back of another US contract yet to be announced......imminently !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

leslienicholls - 22 Nov 2003 11:53 - 424 of 1924

with snippet of info like the previous treads being published its looking good for next week but until we get a bit of firm news we mush tread carefully!!!!

jfletendre - 22 Nov 2003 11:55 - 425 of 1924

Gameboy & axe79
Many thanks for your replies - much appreciated. As I said, I am new to trading and even doing my own research is difficult as my ignorance is such that knowing what is important and unimportant is not always obvious and then to interpret the important stuff is also not that easy for me - however, I am learning and in the meantime, I admit to being influenced by people who seem to know what they are talking about - Sue for instance - her knowledge and interpretation of what has been happening stock price wise has been proven to be spot on. I'm learning all the time but gosh, there's a LOT to know!
In the meantime, I am very grateful for people such as yourselves who generously take the time out to respond and inform people like me!
Regards
Anna

Gameboy....good move topping up yesterday, I bet your pleased you did! Monday should be explosive. Now expect mark up to open above 17p and climb rapidly away. Market cap should double next week, glad that I have my 100k of shares! This will be a rollercoaster, glad I'm watching from the sidelines!

axe79 - 22 Nov 2003 13:17 - 427 of 1924

anna thanks.....its just putting back in a bit of knowledge that we have taken out over the years. Nobody is right all the time, but you can develope a sense of people that are well meant. I make my living out of investing, as a few others do that post. I have a small number of stocks that I will take a larger position in. Unlike some, I would rather go for a few of high quality, than a broader number. By spreading the risk (as its called) Fine for ft100 companies, you are in fact increasing your chances for losses in these smaller cap companies. Research, timing, market knowledge....all important.

regards........axe

Hi there,

Evening to everyone.

Should bolster on tomorrow to higher levels, very possible for the price to reach to 30-35 pence by end of the week. If we do get the RNS with the news that I mentioned long time ago on this thread then considering where the price is now we could expect to see the price going up to as much as 50 pence before settling back at 35-40 pence.

GoodNight.

Sue.

Would appreciate your view on that too Sue - have bought 10,000 shares at 10.5p but if price continues journey north would like to add - know you don't have a crystal ball....actually, you might well have had to date! but don't want to lose my current profit by buying more too high etc etc

good start..... sue where are you? jsut to say thnak you.

AndrewThomson77 - 24 Nov 2003 09:10 - 433 of 1924

Is it still worth buying in at 17p?

axe79 - 24 Nov 2003 09:24 - 434 of 1924

Morning update........this share is now being actively traded. After a quick mark up on the opening, the MM's have brought the price back down to buy up stock they need for the next push up. Have topped up myself with another 31800 (bought in 2 lots) at 17p. Pauly who has a 1m holding has just told us that he was bid at 16.5p for 250k and has sold them. This large sell WILL NOT effect the market price as they have gone straight to a buyer that wanted them!

With the above info it looks like there is strong buying demand and I expect to see the price tick up soon. I am posting else where, but I will keep looking in and updating you.

AXE

SueHelen - 24 Nov 2003 09:54 - 435 of 1924

Good Morning all, not too well today hence my late arrival.

The price is still very cheap to buy if anyone is looking to invest in this company.

Price still up quite well at 15.75-17 pence. I see the price did go up 18.25 pence at the open. I believe that could have been due to the amount of buys they had to put through from Friday which they could not do so on Friday and did so this morning between 7.15-8am.

The price has still a long way to climb this week. I am very much expecting a close around 19-20 pence and end the week ending around 30 pence.
If the good news is released this week then much more than 30-35 pence.

Best Wishes,

Sue.

SueHelen - 24 Nov 2003 10:07 - 436 of 1924

Seems a 100,000 buy at 18.5 pence at the open today has just come through.

axe79 - 24 Nov 2003 10:15 - 437 of 1924

Sorry to here you are not too well today, agree with your thoughts, providing the buying demand steps up late afternoon we should see a fine close!

xmortal - 24 Nov 2003 10:20 - 438 of 1924

10.20am 15.75 - 17 so far 40 moves and reaching 1M shares traded, so far so good.

game_boy - 24 Nov 2003 11:05 - 439 of 1924

Some background info on the e-trading platform that Chicago Board of Trade are launching today.....and CWV were one of the vendors that built it !! Their relationship with Liffe is of huge value...remember CWV was an MBO from Liffe in 1997....and Liffe's Connect platform is a world beater....and CWV is one of only 13 approved quote vendors....the majority of whom are major players such as Bloomberg, Reuters etc !!

CWV is a market data provider and systems developer for e-CBOT...as is DTN..the US developer of ProphetX...which may also be why CWV is doing well in the US right now !
