As I'm sure you are aware, we and many of you have had a long and tiresome battle with Java when trying to use our streaming services. We have therefore been working on a solution to remove this problem.

We are pleased to announce that we have a new stockwatch available for use which no longer uses Java. We are currently making this available as a technical beta version, which means we are interested in your feedback regarding performance, bugs and browser/operating system/device compatibility issues (note: design and styling will be addressed in later beta releases).

For the purpose of allowing the old and new stockwatch versions to run concurrently, the technical functionality of the new stockwatch mimics the old one for now (not style, fonts or look). Editing and managing watchlists uses the same process as the current java stockwatch but is now at the top of the page. This will allow you to switch between the versions should you have any problems. All technical features of the current stockwatch are available in the new version except for the ability to drag resize columns. In the near future and as we migrate away from the java version of stockwatch, we will add new usability features as well as design it up to make the whole stockwatch experience smoother than it has ever been.

As this new version does not require java, you should expect it to work on your android devices and ipad/iphones. For now the display has not been optimised for smaller screens, but this will come in future development.

NOTE: Due to javascript performance in Internet Explorer 8, this new stockwatch can cause high CPU load. We recommend you use a current version of a modern browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox for best results.

Please do not worry about design/style at the moment as this version has not been styled it is purely a technical beta test environment it will be styled before it is released. We have put this here purely for feedback on its technical functionality i.e does it work in your browser and on your PC/Laptop/Tablet/Mobile

1. Still a delay and temporary lock up on Firefox on opening the page or returning to stockwatch either as the page automatically searches for java or as the beta software kicks in.
2. Not very happy with the video advert (using Firefox) It automatically plays every time the page updates.
3. The page automatically flicks to advertise Level 2 after two or three minutes so I have to flick back to stockwatch which resets the page, freezes firefox and goes through the advert again.
Otherwise does what it says on the tin.... Java ceased on my Mac anyway

Actually when the page automatically flicks after 2 minutes, it is not asking me to upgrade to level 2, it is asking me to sign up for an account... which I already have!

fredzefisher, have you tried CCcleaner? it clears all the rubbish and cookies out of your comp. It certainly keeps firefox on the ball.,.

using windows 7 and firefox no problems as yet

Beta version is miles better and more stable and faster load with less resources used -used Chrome and Firefox Beta

Anyone using Firefox might easily have downloaded some unnecessary 'extras' with it.

A great malware cleaner to use to clean up Firefox, Chrome and IE is ADWCleaner

The download button is the green one saying 'Telecharger'.

AdwCleaner is a free removal tool for:

I like it! Just had a quick go ... but it looks good, runs fine etc and I prefer it to the Java version.

Has worked well up to now but today I just get a message:

EventSource's response has a Content-Type specifying an unsupported type: . Aborting the connection

This is great for me on iPad.r

Bliss at last! Have relented and have installed and am now using Adblock Plus. So now for me on here absolutely no more adverts of ANY kind for my using experience on MoneyAM.

I strongly recommend it to you all.

Although I dread to think what it will do for their advertising revenue and if this crashes through the floor then running the site won't be worthwhile for them to do.

The tip I'd give them to combat that, is to sell SENSIBLE advertising. Advertising is of great use and can create a Win/Win situation. Just where would we be if there weren't any of it?

I did not realise before, that there is a simple red 'On/Off' control button, which comes along with the download. It positions itself neatly and readily available to the top RHS of the screen.

Works beautifully, after months of being unable to get the Java feed on my Mac. Thanks.

I cannot get streaming of live feeds on Windows 7.
How do I fix this?

AdwCleaner is not a free service.

Trades T Vol and T Time show trades from prior day at open. Not same as java version. Otherwise good. Well done.

Wonder if I'm the only one who just lost MoneyAM service for 5 minutes. HTML stockwatch froze, as did T(rades) view.

Other web services ok.

I have recently switched to Windows 7 from Windows XP. When I now log onto my Stockwatch shares list the details are too small. Before they were a very workable size. I've tried to enlarge the chart but with no success. Any tips, please.
PS: On Windows XP I was very much enjoying the new Beta site.

Doesn't that depend on the viewing size in your browser? Chrome allows you to adjust the viewing size by clicking the top right symbol (three horizontal lines) and changing the zoom. I think IE changes are done via the system tray, bottom right.

This non java stock watch is superb. Please keep it permanently.
