THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Nonsence (bed room tax), Bryant proved the Torries brought it in under Thatcher.

goldfinger - 13 Jun 2014 09:28 - 42381 of 81564

Strange that because I couldnt open my link above either. !!!!!!!!!!

I wonder if IDS as AGAIN stopped the BBC from presenting free speech.

Fred1new - 13 Jun 2014 09:30 - 42382 of 81564

GF,

The person who impressed me on QT was Tessa Munt,

Never really aware of her until now.

Realistic approach to many problems.

Interesting background, if what I have read is true.

Fred1new - 13 Jun 2014 09:32 - 42383 of 81564

GF.

I am having problems with Internet connections at the moment.

Especially with Chrome and Moneyam.

But will try

Ed Miliband has pledged to scrap the “Bedroom Tax” should Labour be elected to Government in 2015.

A bizarre move given that only a few years ago Ed Miliband voted for the introduction of the “Bedroom Tax” as part of the Welfare Reform Act 2007. Even the most cursory glance of Hansard debate records show that the “Bedroom Tax” has been part of Labour’s plans as far back as 2001. The “Bedroom Tax” is every inch a Labour policy.

No amount of bluster can change the facts, the “Bedroom Tax” is a Labour initiative, and it has been since 2001.

aldwickk - 13 Jun 2014 09:42 - 42386 of 81564

Yes Fred is right , Tessa Munt was a refreshing change to the shouting and point scoring of the two main partys , and was happy to admit to her own partys mistakes

Fred1new - 13 Jun 2014 09:49 - 42387 of 81564

Fred1new - 13 Jun 2014 09:49 - 42388 of 81564

Hazyone,

Bedroom Tax = Poll Tax and will help to sink Cameron and cronies in the UK.

Cameron will sink himself in Europe over Junker.

Europe see his actions as political motivated for internal tory consumption.

UKIP has exposed the tories for a split party of little Englanders or has beens and a smattering of a few more central moderates who are despairing!

cynic - 13 Jun 2014 10:00 - 42389 of 81564

sticks - fat lady is barely warming up .... in fact, didn't carney say that rates might rise before year end, rather than they would? :-)

why have you removed your e-mail from here?

Shortie - 13 Jun 2014 10:01 - 42390 of 81564

Maybe Cameron will sink himself in Europe over Juncker, but I don't regard that as a bad thing. For one his opposition of Junker who wants a closer political union between member states will aid renegotiations to bring back power from the EU. Secondly and although I don't personally like Cameron he's doing exactly what he said he would regarding Europe and standing up for the UK, that will help him win home votes.

goldfinger - 13 Jun 2014 10:02 - 42391 of 81564

Exactly fred, it was Thatcher who introduced the bed room tax, hays is again burying his head in the blue sand.

I wouldnt mind but its costing the government far more money than it was supposed to save BUT then again it wasnt supposed to be about savings but fairness but we all know Fat Dave let it slip in PMqs a few months back, classic Camoron cock up.

goldfinger - 13 Jun 2014 10:08 - 42392 of 81564

Cyners not up to carney, its up to the BoE board, who vote on it.

The signs are hes softening people up ready for an increase (small increases) very soon and hoping its already in the market.

As for my E-mail I was invaded with spam a couple of weeks back from here on a weekend and im not prepard to take the chance with this virus thats going to attack all of us.

IM SUPRISED YOU DIDNT GET THE SAME CRAP MOST OTHERS DID.
