Starfrog,

Should now be fixed and able to trade it,

Ian

Ian

Yep, that works. Cheers.

skg83239 - 26 Oct 2005 14:22 - 431 of 550

Ian,
I entered a trade for RCDO out of hours which was not filled because no trades at 8:10. Do I leave it and wait for it to be filled or remove the trade?
How's your investigation on the quotes for ECT & ECPC?
In addition I think the AIM listed IML, RMG & VOF are quoted in USD

IanT(MoneyAM) - 26 Oct 2005 14:26 - 432 of 550

skg,

I will get Karl to take a look, but if it has not been dealt yet I would cancel it and re enter when you feel best.

With regard to ECT and ECPC, unfortunately, I was correct the game is limited to quoting only in sterling and no allowance can be made for a stock quoted in a different currency I am afraid.

Ian

Can you say how many entries you have to date ?

adicoleman - 26 Oct 2005 19:48 - 434 of 550

Anyone know how many people are entered into this comp?
And when the first monthly prize is awarded?

Haystack - 26 Oct 2005 20:29 - 435 of 550

Talk about volatile! I was 260th at the start today. I was then around 30th for a few hours and ended up 545th!

As one of the previous monthly winners the terms and conditions
usually require the winner to meet the staff and have a few photo's
done as for promotional reasons for the parent shares mag in which
you will receive your winning cheque.
Unfortunately for me we arranged the same day for my meeting as
for the London tube bombings and i never got for me was a exciting
chance to visit the city and meet the moneyam staff.
I would imagine the total players this time around to swell to over 3000
given the popularity of this competiton and moneyam's idea to reduce
the trading size to 3 x market size is certainly going to make it a much
more competitive game and that can already be seen with not one player
managing to break out into any reasonable lead.
No move yet from Kayak but early days yet but those who were in the hunt
in the last game will have quickly realised that not being able to buy 20 million
shares in a penny stock will mean it's going to be a lot harder to increase the
pot to anywhere near previous gains.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 27 Oct 2005 07:25 - 437 of 550

R33skyline/adicoleman,

We do not release the total figures of participants suffice to say, it is a very healthy number indeed.

The first Monthly prize will be awarded at the end of November,

Ian

Haystack - 27 Oct 2005 12:27 - 438 of 550

There is a way of working it out though!

Fred1new - 28 Oct 2005 11:48 - 439 of 550

Please enlighten me ..

R33

Haystack - 01 Nov 2005 13:11 - 443 of 550

Part of the fun is working it out.

R33skyline - 01 Nov 2005 21:14 - 444 of 550

Ok i give up !

Haystack - 03 Nov 2005 10:40 - 445 of 550

You set up another champinvest account and make lots of silly trades to lose all the money. Your position gives you the number in the competition.

mackem - 03 Nov 2005 22:51 - 446 of 550

Any indication of how many playing the competition, the fact that the 250
leader board apart from the top 10 has 240 places within a 7 grand range
suggest there could be many thousands playing the game.

Come on ian, give us a idea of how many are playing ?

R33skyline - 05 Nov 2005 13:07 - 447 of 550

Cheers Haystack

There was me taking percentages of the top 250 trying to work out how many players could be playing at -10k and you have just proved the simplest idea`s are often the best.

Must remember KISS.....keep it simple stupid ..

packman7 - 05 Nov 2005 15:08 - 448 of 550
