Bunny, I think the answer is something to do with averages and all that, not too sure myself really?
Can i ask why you always say 'than' instead of 'then'? is it local accent?
3 danish pastries coming up.
I said i would put some of our photo's up in a gallery again but like i said i no longer have access to Fanta's old web page so i dont have other people's snap shots. If you would like me to put your photo up then just send it to me and i will put it in the new Tea room gallery. I have just took a new snap shot of myself best i could (without a can of Bods this time) and will put it on to a web page. I always think it's nice to see who you are actually talking too sometimes especially those of us who dont mingle at moneyam social events like myself.

Ah I'm glad you explained that to me GD...it's now as clear
as murky water a step beyond clear as mud (giggle)
Than and then...always got into a jam with those two right from
school days I'm afraid, I mastered it's and its but the brain
reached overload at then and than (lol)
One's at the time (probably then?) the other is in comparision
to another part of the sentance(than?) too complex for me
as long as those who know me know what I mean and
there's grammer/grammar (?)
check on my WP for business purposes I'll survive!
Lovely danish pastries...just one more poochy....

The answer to GD's puzzle is as follows:
They gave GD 30 at the start.
GD returned 3 (change?). That means that they paid 27
GD kept 2 of the 27 and put 25 in the till.
If you can't see through that kind of puzzle, which tricks you into mixing up adding and subtracting should you be playing games with real money against MMs and those writing real yearly accounts?

There was this Italian gentleman, who had a bulge under his left armpit, in the train talking about some dirty dog of a waiter who shortchanged him and when I changed compartments in fright there were two civil servants from the Inland Revenue Investigation Branch in the next one discussing how to crack down on undeclared 'tips etc. - you know what I mean' in the catering trade.
