The New Goldfinger Stock Picks Thread. (GOLD)

goldfinger - 25 Nov 2003 00:49

Will only cover stocks bought in the present month the last thread was getting too big and weighted down by one argument on one company. seperate threads are set up for each company from the old thread.

Buys this Month.

Telecolm Plus Results due Friday and has made an excelent start as a new buy. Now through the important 350p resistance barrier.

Sci Entertainment Another company which has an update coming and is up on the buy price. Latest trading update mentioned sales well above budget.

Bema Gold A little gem of a gold miner and has surged on the back of the increasing POG, star of the Month.

Thistle Mining A speculative punt and one which leapt 41% in one day on back of new drilling results. I lopped the top of this one when increase from buy was circa 34%. Rest left in as a gamble on POG.

Caldwell Investments Nothing Spectacular here but still up on buy price. If its good enough for Jim Slater and Evil Knievil, its good enough for me.

CardPoint Latest buy and just ahead of buy price. Been tipped by the Red Hot Penny Shares and also Citywire.

Stocks On The Watch List

Wolfeson Micro, Radstone Technology, Proteome Sciences, Fulcrum Pharma, Severfield Rowen, Deltex medical, M L Labs, NAP - Porvair.

Any comments on the portfolio welcome.

cheers GF.

cheers GF.

gf: got an opinion on Celsis (CEL)? Strongly tipped in this months "Small Cap Shares" newsletter and wondered if it was on your radar at all.

goldfinger - 27 Nov 2003 15:48 - 45 of 193

Sorry DC not one I have covered but thanks for the leg up, will give it a good look over.

cheers GF.

dclinton - 27 Nov 2003 16:06 - 46 of 193

I've only just started to receive this newsletter so I haven't had a chance to decide how much trust I have in their picks. Other Buy recommendations this month are Penna Consulting (PNA), PHS Group (PHY) and St Mowden (SMP) in case you're looking for any new companies to look at.

goldfinger - 27 Nov 2003 16:31 - 47 of 193

Cheers DC will have a look at them, much appreciated. Best not to buy on first day with tip sheets, MMs mark up like hell.

goldfinger gives good and bad info

ajren - me - gives good and bad info

Both of us spend a lot of time doing the best we can to help others and
ourselves--by getting Feedback and help on everything we want help on.

I give info in a different way - not better/or worse I hope.
Because I work in a different way means I do not have the time to give a lot
of detail. However,I do when I can e.g.33 of 35 of M and S and the latest
one on M and S .

I suggest we all leave Personalised posts where they belong i.e.in the past.

DC rather than spend your money on these tip sheets you would be far better off logging on to the Sharecrazy site - there are some great posters who know what they are talking about. Tenby Deckchair, JustJim, Eyecatcher, Kitster - to name but four. I have picked up more tips on there over the last year than anywhere else.

LINZIMASON - 28 Nov 2003 00:32 - 52 of 193

Absolutely agreed, but whatever you do DC, never take any notice of me, the minute I touch a share, it falls! Good luck!

goldfinger - 28 Nov 2003 08:32 - 53 of 193

Totaly agree with you guys here although I wouldnt put Kitster in the same bracket as the other three, no Hes just a middle of the roader. I would certainly put shareBear up there with the other three though.

cheers gf.

goldfinger - 28 Nov 2003 08:33 - 54 of 193

Cracking results from Telecolm plus this morning. Hoping for the spread to narrow so that I can add.

cheers gf.

Opened new postion in NCHIPER NCH. IT tech security play. A momentum investment punt for me which is rather unusual but the stock at around its present price is only just over its net current assets of 38 million at 30/09/2003. US customers have defered orders but with the growth figures coming from across the pond this week and business acivity picking up in general I thought at this price the stock was too cheap to overlook. Market cap circa 42 million.

Broker Durlacher has a 225p price target.

Please DYOR, you are responsible for your own buying and selling actions.

cheers GF.

Gold

what do you think of lupus capital share magazine tipped in yesterday I knew
about lupus from the old days and took a punt downside limited as talk of returning money to shareholders at around 9p if Greg huntchins doesn't take it over

goldfinger - 28 Nov 2003 09:16 - 57 of 193

Gordon, havent seen the article yet, I always get my shares mag on the friday, that way I dont get tempted into buying when MMs are going to rob you.

Will let you know my thoughts later on. Please give me a reminder.

cheers Gf.

ajren - 28 Nov 2003 09:42 - 58 of 193

Scottie : I agree - I get Sharecrazy every morning into my e.mails regds aj

goldfinger - 30 Nov 2003 01:41 - 59 of 193

A new week a new challenge.

gf.

goldfinger - 01 Dec 2003 00:56 - 60 of 193

Cardpoint looks like it may have a good week and I also think telecolm plus will see further advances.

Im hoping the gold stocks I have mentioned Bema and Yamana will have a good week. There is speculation that Soros is shorting the Dollar, and other US analyst have also been saying they see it falling lower.

cheers GF.

ps, GA sorry mate I cant e-mail you back, something wrong with my NTL service yet again. Personnaly I never bother with those issues. I much prefer to keep my cash for any opportunity that may arise. The extra shares in issue will lead to dilution of divis when they are paid. Also increased supply on the market can lead to a drop in the current price when the shares are admitted for trading. Good luck whatever you decide.
