hilary - 17 Feb 2004 10:50 - 4309 of 23498

Golddog - 17 Feb 2004 10:59 - 4311 of 23498

snoball, it's my local accent! :-)

Hilary, That's not funny that picy of jeff there! not too to two (whatever) far off how i look these days.

stockbunny - 17 Feb 2004 11:11 - 4312 of 23498

Ah I'm glad you explained that to me GD...it's now as clear
as murky water a step beyond clear as mud (giggle)

Than and then...always got into a jam with those two right from
school days I'm afraid, I mastered it's and its but the brain
reached overload at then and than (lol)
One's at the time (probably then?) the other is in comparision
to another part of the sentance(than?) too complex for me
as long as those who know me know what I mean and
there's grammer/grammar (?)
check on my WP for business purposes I'll survive!

Lovely danish pastries...just one more poochy....

snoball - 17 Feb 2004 11:19 - 4313 of 23498

Sentance? Isn't that when you go in goal for a long time?

stockbunny - 17 Feb 2004 11:21 - 4314 of 23498

I wont be buying you a drink if you carry on like that Snowie!!
Now than/then enuf on the bunny literacie jokes...giggle
BTW what are you doing on RTR now??? In or out??

This_is_me - 17 Feb 2004 11:43 - 4315 of 23498

The answer to GD's puzzle is as follows:

They gave GD 30 at the start.
GD returned 3 (change?). That means that they paid 27
GD kept 2 of the 27 and put 25 in the till.

If you can't see through that kind of puzzle, which tricks you into mixing up adding and subtracting should you be playing games with real money against MMs and those writing real yearly accounts?

Golddog - 17 Feb 2004 11:57 - 4316 of 23498

(Mutley snigger!)

Yes Tim the extra 1 is in the till. chink chink.

This_is_me - 17 Feb 2004 12:15 - 4317 of 23498

There was this Italian gentleman, who had a bulge under his left armpit, in the train talking about some dirty dog of a waiter who shortchanged him and when I changed compartments in fright there were two civil servants from the Inland Revenue Investigation Branch in the next one discussing how to crack down on undeclared 'tips etc. - you know what I mean' in the catering trade.

Golddog - 17 Feb 2004 12:46 - 4318 of 23498

Right then i have started the photo gallery which there is a link for in the above top links section. There's only me there at the moment (not This is me but me) and am ready for all the abusive remarks - like last time. I now await Hilary to send a snap shot of herself in bikini mode and whoever else would like to send me a snap.
:-)

stockbunny - 17 Feb 2004 13:20 - 4319 of 23498

Don't worry T-I-M I can hold my own very well thanks playing this
game, but thanks for your concern......

Golddog - 17 Feb 2004 13:42 - 4320 of 23498

Bunny, I dont think Tim is being nasty to you just tongue-in-cheek remark. Everyone here loves you to bits. I will get you another Danish.

stockbunny - 17 Feb 2004 13:57 - 4321 of 23498

It's OK GD don't worry but yes another Danish would be nice
thanks. Fed up with the endless drizzle and murky grey cloud
outside....wonder if we can all take off for Little Willie's for
a day or so to get some sun..

little willie - 17 Feb 2004 14:12 - 4322 of 23498

Bunnywunny..beds made up, wine in cooler fridge, braii already to light, pool skimmed and 30 degrees...yup all set up in the warren...

In truth, at 7am tommorrow I shall be greeting the BA redeye to meet one,
Morose, his wife Mo and another couple of their friends.
Hils/Jeffmack know him from the other channel.
We had similar investments at one stage, oys, prm, pdl, log, arm, atl, boi etc and common interests.
We seemed to rub along and him and his mrs came out for a long w/end to visit us in Antwerp when we were living there. We all got along and net result is I've put together a three week tour for them over here; have booked all their b&b accomodation in places we know, they're hiring a 4x4 7 seater from me and will be around my area for nearly a week.
Just shows what these sites can do, huh!!

Golddog - 17 Feb 2004 14:17 - 4323 of 23498

Blimey, Our littlewillie just popped up from no where when required.

Actually, It's because of Mr Morose that the Tea Room Cafe got started although he never ever popped in at all?

stockbunny - 17 Feb 2004 14:21 - 4324 of 23498

Sounds great LW - and I'm sure your friends will enjoy their
stay over there catching up with you and Mrs.LW

Poochy you are on here a long time today - nice to see but
having a quiet day in the un-vitual world?

Golddog - 17 Feb 2004 14:38 - 4325 of 23498

Bunny, Yes im sorting out a lot of my financial bits and bobs at the moment and whilst im doing that im popping in here. I try not to spend too much time on the computer or internet these days especially during the day, and i try to limit my time of Tea Room duty to just popping in for a quick one before bed time.

littlewillie, The birth of the Cafe came from this thread by Morose which he entitled- 'I'm getting near to ditching the lot!!!', ask him if he remembers it?

morose - 14 Mar'01 - 10:02

How much more of this diabolical market can I take?
It's making an owd mon out of me.
Sell the lot and put into high interest account including all the PEPS and ISAs I'm paying high charges for losing all my cash!!
Does anyone else feel like this?

stockbunny - 17 Feb 2004 15:11 - 4326 of 23498

Ok you lovely people you, I must disappear now.
I have work to do and really should do some today
plus I have managed to exercise restraint and haven't sold
RTR - sure it will rise faster if I can be patient! -
So I'm quitting whilst I'm ahead today before the day is
gone and the work starts to pile!!!

This_is_me - 17 Feb 2004 15:18 - 4327 of 23498

It looks like there are some very big buys not showing yet in AHT that are taking the price up. It could be that institutions are buying in at this leveln and moping up all the small sales.
