THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Don’t tell MI5 – but Russians are bankrolling the Tory Party

TagsBoris Johnson, international, open government, Tories
(not satire – it’s the Tories!)

A governing UK political party being bankrolled by Russian oligarchs isn’t something the British electorate – or MI5 – would be all that keen on I’d imagine.

So I’m not surprised the Tories have been trying desperately to hide the identities of the people who attended their fundraising dinner last year.

That’s because – after Brits – Russians were the most representative nationality at the fundraising event.

According to the Bureau of Investigative Journalism, the list of ultra-rich Russians and eastern Europeans who attended the party fundraiser included:

Alexander Temerko (Russia)

Tatanya Korsakova (Russia)

Andrei Borodin (Russia)

Vasily Shestakov (Russia)

Alexander Kuznetsov (Russia)

Alex Nekrassov (Russia)

Andrei Kliamko (Belarus)

Darko Horvat (Slovenia)

Obviously, it’s always possible that all those dodgy Russians and their mates who are handing over their millions to one of our governing parties won’t be expecting anything in return for their beneficence.

Fingers crossed.

.

Actually, the Tories have already gifted their Russian benefactors with the possibility of buying their way into the country:

From Russia with £1million: The UK’s Investor Visas

And London Mayor Boris Johnson has also been busy making dodgy Russian friends of his own:

Here’s a Russian spy with his ‘good friend’ Boris Johnson

Добро пожаловать в Великобританию!

Well somebody needs to bankroll them now that the Olmfirth Conservative Club (of which you once claimed to be their Life President, as I recall) have withdrawn their £100k annual donation (which, strangely enough, never appeared on any records in the public domain).

goldfinger - 03 Jul 2014 15:53 - 43146 of 81564

Make no wonder Hilary as you have spelt it wrong. he he.

Get your facts right love.

Remember H for..........Have a big one.

hilary - 03 Jul 2014 16:11 - 43147 of 81564

So, if I paste up the full list of party donors as reported to the Electoral Commission and published to their online database, you'll be able to tell me which donation(s) you're responsible for??? Because, at the moment, I can't see any donations whatsoever by anyone called Fishfinger.

goldfinger - 03 Jul 2014 16:15 - 43148 of 81564

Hilary remember H for very HARD.

goldfinger - 03 Jul 2014 16:20 - 43149 of 81564

ps, I didnt say it was Holmfirth con Club either.

You just took that as granted.

Haystack - 03 Jul 2014 16:32 - 43150 of 81564

H
You are flogging a dead horse trying to tie down a fantasist

cynic - 03 Jul 2014 16:35 - 43151 of 81564

fred - yes I know Domme and Sarlat and round that area from one of our cycling jollies .... there's some really interesting places to visit as well .... if I remember correctly Cromagnon is nearby too, and you'll be sorry to hear that a car wheel trim came careering across the road at 100 mph and only just missed me and the bike :-)

hilary - 03 Jul 2014 16:37 - 43152 of 81564

Yes I know, Haystack, but muppet-baiting isn't illegal yet and it's a bit of fun when I get bored of the sun.

goldfinger - 03 Jul 2014 16:53 - 43153 of 81564

Hays if Im a fantatist your a SIMPLETON as stated by TANKER yesterday.

And hilary I pointed out it wasnt holmfirth con club previously I said it was my local con club, no more no less, so please please in future get your facts right.

Little wonder both of you make no money in this business.

hilary - 03 Jul 2014 17:06 - 43154 of 81564

And Fishfinger, if you had bothered to do any searching of the commission's register whatsoever, you'd have realised that there isn't a single Conservative club or association in the entire country who has ever made a donation remotely near the £100k sum you claimed.

So I couldn't care less if it's the Timbuktu Conservative Club that you're supposedly the Life President of - the fact is that (yet again) you have lied on a public forum and you've been caught out. And when Haystack describes you as a fantasist, he's right. He might also have added the adjective 'blind', because most other folks here can see you're a moron except yourself.

Fred1new - 03 Jul 2014 17:19 - 43155 of 81564

H!

Bad day deerie,

You seem as charming as ever.

cynic - 03 Jul 2014 17:21 - 43156 of 81564

time to grow up the pair of you methinks ..... just because i'm away, there's no need to think you can misbehave :-)

Haystack - 03 Jul 2014 17:43 - 43157 of 81564

Oh goody! Teacher is away!

cynic - 03 Jul 2014 17:49 - 43158 of 81564

a good biography for you to read .... The Valley by Richard Benson
it's about a mining family in Yorkshire from 1907 to about now (I think, for I haven't finished it yet)

even fred would enjoy it :-)

Fred1new - 03 Jul 2014 18:02 - 43159 of 81564

I see Cameron made another good choice of pals working for him in No 10.

I think I let him out on the street I would make sure he had a guide dog with him!

goldfinger - 03 Jul 2014 18:02 - 43160 of 81564

the conservative club and institute movement dont send singular donations its all lumped together under the one roof.

So you foul mouth scrubber go suck on a stone. And by the way it wasnt all my money it was what the club donated. Yet again youve been found out to be an ignorant old foul mouthed woman. (remember what fellow female poster 3 monkies said about you.!!!!! Didnt even believe you were a women because of your filthy language and said you should have your mouth washed out with soap and water)

Fred1new - 03 Jul 2014 18:15 - 43161 of 81564

GF,

I was told sometimes it is OK to think it, but better not to write it.

Or, if you do write it, have the pleasure from that and then tear what you have written up.

Have beer and curse quietly.

There is a lot of fun to have teasing to-morrow!

Boris Johnson could be parachuted into safe Hertfordshire seat

Boris Johnson could be parachuted into a safe seat in Hertfordshire after a veteran Conservative MP said he was standing down in May’s general election.

James Clappison, the respected MP for Hertsmere who served as a minister in John Major’s Tory Government in the 1990s, said that he felt “now is the time to move on”.

Mr Clappison, 57, entered Parliament in 1992 and held the seat in 2010 with a 17,600 majority.

Local Tories are understood to want to use Mr Clappison’s unexpected resignation to attract a high profile candidate to the seat, such as Mr Johnson, the London Mayor who has a soaring media profile.

Mr Johnson – a possible successor to David Cameron as Tory leader - is keeping his options open about returning to Parliament next year.

However, if he did so, he would have to combine being an MP with continuing as Mayor of London until his term expires in May 2016.
