Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

Manufacturing output in the UK recorded a surprise fall of 1.3% in May, the biggest decline since January 2013.
The figure from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) was much weaker than economists' forecasts of an increase of 0.4%.
Manufacturing data and surveys so far this year have indicated that the sector is growing robustly.
The wider measure of industrial output also fell in May, the ONS figures showed, dropping by 0.7%.
========
Compared with a year earlier, manufacturing output was up 3.7% in May, down from April's increase of 4.3%, while annual growth in industrial output slowed to 2.3% from 2.9%.

Fiddled figures previously Fred, in attempt to boost Torries at the LA elections.
I dont believe for one minute that the ONS is an independant organisation and the same with the BoE, Giddeon as them wrapped around his little finger.
Wouldnt mind but the ONS work from the same building Nos 11 Downing street and we all know who lives there.

Haystack questioned yesterday about the UNITED and CECIL CLUB said.......
1. Haystack - 07 Jul 2014 11:02 - 43274 of 43370
The United and Cecil club operates under the same rules working men's clubs and similar that give political donations.
2. Haystack - 07 Jul 2014 11:27 - 43276 of 43370
There is nothing complicated about it. There are lunch clubs and dinner clubs. I was invited to join one a few years ago that meets at the Commons one lunch a month and people discuss politics and network for business. The donations are limited to around £7,500 and the donor has to be on the electoral roll.
NOW HERES THE REAL TRUTH
Low profile United & Cecil Club funnels cash to Conservative must-win marginals
An organisation registered at a stables in the Home Counties, with a former tobacco lobbyist for an honorary secretary, is a key weapon in the Conservative Party’s battle to win the next election.
The United & Cecil Club is playing an increasingly crucial role in funding election bids in the most tightly contested constituencies. The club has been used to raise funds for the Conservatives for years and these funds are now being deployed strategically as the party targets key marginals ahead of the 2015 election.
Since the last election, the organisation has given £282,250 to Conservative candidates – nearly double the amount it has given to Conservative central campaign headquarters. In the first quarter of this year alone, the U&C club has given almost as much to candidates as it did in the whole of last year.
In disclosures made and published by the Electoral Commission the U&C club is registered at an an address in Iver, a village in Buckinghamshire. However, in the parliamentary register, the U&C lists its address as a riding school in Berkshire.
The stables are run by Tim Lord. Lord, a former chief executive of the Tobacco Manufacturers Association, confirmed to the Bureau that he is honorary secretary of the U&C club.
When asked to supply further details about the U&C club, Lord declined to elaborate. “We are a club, we have our objective and we comply with the law,” he said.
Christopher Fenwick, a member of the wealthy retail family which has an estimated fortune of £500m, was until recently a former deputy chairman of the organisation, Lord confirmed.
Fenwick hosted a table at last week’s Conservative fundraiser at the Hurlingham club, which was focused on the 40 seats to hold and the 40 seats to gain. Last year he sponsored two tables where the table plan showed his guests included U&C chairman, Brooks Newmark MP and Anne-Marie Trevelyn, a Tory hopeful who is bidding to win the Lib Dem marginal seat of Berwick-upon-Tweed.

TORY SLEAZE and yet your lot criticise union donations.

but we see the truth here.......... They are limited to £7,500 per person per year. Over that amount they have to detail who gave the money.

They are allowed to have de the identity of diners up to £7,500. The rules apply to all such groups. If a working men's club collects money then they do not have fist all donors.

If they auction pint of Champagne with the autograph of Maggie on it for £40000 and the bottle has been donated to the the "club" and the club gives the proceeds to the "party funds", I think it circumvents the rules of £7500 and is a perversion of the the intent of the rules.
It stinks like the present cabal supported by Haze and his ilk.
I hope there is an enquiry into the the "donations" to the CON party and any associated tax avoidance schemes.
