RTD - Why? (RTD)

Nitefly - 15 Sep 2003 10:55

Why are we again at 10.5p bid?

It doesn't add up...

Good Results + Strong buying pre results + Christmas online buying soon = Price drop

Then again some companies that have debt for equity hanging in the balance, poor results and bankruptcy around the corner and they go up!

Why sell now at a loss?

Wont that be a kick in the teeth when we see 13.5p 14p again!

Best of luck all.

Douggie - I was referring to your comment "good news posting mostly sends share price down" and was tempted to indulge in some contrarian posting to test the converse theory.

blakester - 11 Dec 2003 17:07 - 436 of 2406

Was my mind playing tricks or did RTD try and raise the bar a little today?

Douggie - 11 Dec 2003 17:08 - 437 of 2406

nearly got 1/4p rise today :-((

blakester - 11 Dec 2003 17:12 - 438 of 2406

Hopefully the DOW will hit 10000 today a give London shares a shove tomorrow :o)

Douggie - 11 Dec 2003 17:34 - 439 of 2406

blakester I do hope so I much at stake on FTSE elsewhere xfinger

As usual, lack of good news causes downward drift on a downward day for the markets.

Financial year end is 31 Dec, the results should be very good based on the news so far.

scotinvestor - 16 Dec 2003 10:37 - 445 of 2406

Theres never any news on RTD. Just a trading update followed by their actual results. That means just 4 bits of news all year. No wonder the share drifts down all the time as everyone forgets about them.

Douggie - 16 Dec 2003 16:58 - 446 of 2406

yet today 10/1 sell/buy and .25 inc. inshare price !!! :-))

blakester - 16 Dec 2003 17:06 - 447 of 2406

Can someone explain to me how 10/1 sell/buy ratio results in an increase?!?

Douggie - 16 Dec 2003 17:12 - 448 of 2406

nope at CYH we got 3.3/1 buy/sell end day green, mostly red all day !!!!!

blakester - 16 Dec 2003 17:13 - 449 of 2406

IS there a big sell on the way, thats why thew MM's havent let the price drop?

scotinvestor - 16 Dec 2003 17:18 - 450 of 2406

the whole buy/sell thing is odd. I dont even look at it these days. I still believe in RTD but the share has been taking its time in trying to rise. In a years time, i'm sure all will be well

jfletendre - 16 Dec 2003 17:20 - 451 of 2406

Rival thread stated that a 250,000 buy today was responsible for pushing up the price.....

Pinsticker - 16 Dec 2003 17:34 - 452 of 2406

You guys shouldn't try to analyse data that is only "indicative", particularly when transactions above NMS are subject to delayed disclosure.

Both 240k+ transactions today were definitely buys.

apple - 16 Dec 2003 19:52 - 453 of 2406

jfletendre,

there was a 240310 buy at 17:12, is that what you were refering to?

These price changes are happening on very thin trading. Very large numbers couldn't cause contrary price movements.

Anyway up again today.

FY Year end 31st Dec

Last years announcements occured on

21/01/03 07:00 Trading Update RNS
11/03/03 07:30 Final Results RNS

Not long to wait now.

The 20/11/03 Corporate Update pointed in the right direction.

scotinvestor - 16 Dec 2003 23:02 - 454 of 2406

yeah

and all those idiots sold then when price went up from 9.75 to 10.25p in a day.
Now its 0.5p higher and when figures are released in about a months time, price will rise a few more pence at least. I'm sure RTD must or are in the midst of securing contracts in the current topical news at present.

Regards to all RTD holders
