Easynet (ESY)

proptrade - 22 Jan 2004 11:27

i was wondering if anyone out there had any strong views? this company appears to be delivering and has just turned EBITA positive after a great trading statement last week. seems like upside to +200p once results are out.

any comments or thoughts would be appreciated.

fair sized rolls going theough the mkt

gavdfc - 07 Apr 2005 10:01 - 438 of 602

Well someone seems keen anyway and the chart looks a bit better lately. Since we're talking rolls, I'll have a bacon please! :-) With tomato sauce of course!

proptrade - 07 Apr 2005 10:02 - 439 of 602

i am a brown sauce man myself. why does it always come back to food??!!

gavdfc - 07 Apr 2005 10:12 - 440 of 602

Markets seem quiet just now, so my attention starts to drift to ..... food!

proptrade - 07 Apr 2005 14:11 - 441 of 602

well, i am having a low key egg and cress from sainsburys and it has hit the spot washed down with an Innocent drink. lovely.

gavdfc - 07 Apr 2005 14:54 - 442 of 602

Tuna mayo roll with salad, made by my good self washed down with a cuppa! An innocent drink, doesn't sound as much fun as a guilty one! But maybe a touch early for a guilty one! Seems to be a bit more interest here over the last few sessions.

proptrade - 07 Apr 2005 15:01 - 443 of 602

i would hope so, i never one to call a bottom but they seem to have consolidated here and a few more tick up sessions may be the start of something. who the hell knows.

do you work from home?

gavdfc - 07 Apr 2005 15:11 - 444 of 602

Gave up proper "work" as such about 5 years ago. Got fed up with making bank machines (very boring but reasonably paid) and did my economics degree before I hit 30. Decided at that fine age I'd had enough of work and didn't look for a job after my degree. Now I just do this which I must say, beats work hands down when you get it right. So i guess you could say I work from home!

proptrade - 07 Apr 2005 16:32 - 445 of 602

so we have an economics degree in common...

so you trade pretty much full time or do you do some consultancy etc...send me an email, it is that kind of day

gavdfc - 07 Apr 2005 17:26 - 446 of 602

Sent you an email.

proptrade - 07 Apr 2005 17:31 - 447 of 602

got it...will respond tomorrow!

joehargan1 - 10 Apr 2005 18:17 - 448 of 602

just got off a BA flight back home to Geneva - Easynet are advertising in Business on all BA flights - I got a flyer with my scone, jam and clotted cream. It was very tasty. First time I have seen this approach and the flyer was very well done - quite innovative - like it.

proptrade - 11 Apr 2005 10:34 - 449 of 602

great grass roots analysis! thx joehardan1

gavdfc - 11 Apr 2005 11:22 - 450 of 602

Joe, many thanks for that. Now lets get down to the real issue at hand.... how tasty was the scone!

proptrade - 11 Apr 2005 11:59 - 451 of 602

there i am again...missing the point!

gavdfc - 11 Apr 2005 12:08 - 452 of 602

Lol! On such a quiet day, my mind turns to other things! As you can tell, am having a boring day here! Seems quiet all round, I hope the "sell in May" hasn't started early this year. Another year like last year I wonder, quiet over the middle of the year then picks up again in October?

proptrade - 11 Apr 2005 12:38 - 453 of 602

don't say that, i am gearing up for a busy time!

joehargan1 - 11 Apr 2005 13:23 - 454 of 602

The scone was very fine indeed - so good I had another when offered. Off to the gym this evening. IMHO the best meal that BA do and I washed it down with a nice cuppa.

proptrade - 11 Apr 2005 15:41 - 455 of 602

better than the spider i found in my grapes last time i flew BA. i am NOT joking.

i lived abroad for years and few a hell of alot and would go to great lengths and sometimes expense to avoid flying BA. I am British but i have to say that the matrons they have in Business are disasterous when you compare the staff of Singapore Airlines, Virgin and Cathay. even the US guys are getting it right. I wouldn't normally have a rant about this but it brought back an unhappy eight legged memory!

now, i fancy a cuppa...
