This_is_me, is that why the Dow fell today?

Socrates - 21 Feb 2004 08:37 - 4363 of 23498

Did the Dow fall or was it pushed? Am I about to make a killing on my MMO2 shares? Will Christopher Robin go down to the palace with Alice? Time for tea I think.

little willie - 21 Feb 2004 09:57 - 4364 of 23498

Morning all, I'll have a half of what TIMs been drinking.
So its 'Scally-bashing' time eh?
It'll give 8 ball and the rest of the 'Sheep-lovers' a break,
ah well, its like Gerry sang, 'You'll never walk alone' and, "Can I look after your car Mister?"; "Give us a job".

Socs....Mad Hatters time, hereabouts methinks....

Socrates - 21 Feb 2004 10:09 - 4365 of 23498

Hello little willie
Is that half a pint of Creme de Menthe? You'll go green if you drink that. OK, everybody move round the table two places. I have to go out later so if I stop posting ......................

Golddog - 21 Feb 2004 11:40 - 4366 of 23498

Hi everyone, Game updated. Bullshare is still in the Championship seat.

Bunny, Don't worry about the Tea Rooms been empty sometimes, even if only one person a fortnight comes in to clean the bogs it's ok by me, and i will always be here even if im just sitting in the corner tinkling on the piano sipping Bods on my own? The fact that two blokes on the other side of the world have a discussion of 'do you remember the dawg?', is mind blowing in itself! Then i am happy that the Tea Rooms can never be lost in it's virtual world. To be lost on page two is no disaster not even a minor tremor (Tim - blackpool story, very good) to the fact that back in Advfn days you would be lucky to find us before page 25 and typing in the epic 'cafe' was the only way to be found! So you see there really is no need to change the menu although chocolate fudge icecream will now be added.

GoldDog - Owner of the Tea Room Cafe, and barman, waiter, cleaner, handyman, stripper, drunkard behind the bar, and poochy in the basket.
:-)

Socrates - 21 Feb 2004 12:52 - 4367 of 23498

I've never had Poochy in the Basket, is it something like Chicken in the Basket? I'm off again, back later............

Socrates - 21 Feb 2004 16:32 - 4368 of 23498

I'm back again, talking to myself by the looks of it. Damned cold out there today. Must get a nice mug of tea inside me to thaw out.

jeffmack - 21 Feb 2004 18:23 - 4369 of 23498

Evening all. I'm at work today, been here since 1:00pm, should be done about 8:00pm, then back at 9:00am tomorrow. Gotta earn a crust

Socrates - 21 Feb 2004 19:18 - 4370 of 23498

Jeffmack
For those hours I would demand at least a whole loaf, and the jam and butter.

By the bye, Cheltenham is preparing for the races, the wooden shutters are going up and trenches being dug along the main roads. We're standing by to repel boarders. You know how we repel boarders don't you, we stop changing the bed linen.

jeffmack - 21 Feb 2004 21:17 - 4371 of 23498

I will be out to cause mayhem for three days

Socrates - 22 Feb 2004 00:21 - 4372 of 23498

ditto

This_is_me - 22 Feb 2004 00:44 - 4373 of 23498

I see that the French beat the Russians (too bad Hilary, isn't it?)making the top of the PL look like the top of the game.

Children are off - no time for anything at present. One of them is having a friend here for a 'sleepover' - that is why we are all still awake!

Socrates - 22 Feb 2004 09:26 - 4374 of 23498

Socks will be off duty for three days. Just behave yourselves you lot and I'll be back late in the week. I'm not far away and may be watching so don't get out of hand.

I've got a reliable chap popping in to keep the sherry trifle fresh and topped up. So long for now.

hightone - 22 Feb 2004 11:19 - 4375 of 23498
