Time now for all us Wiggins watchers to move with the times and start using Planestation, the new company identity. The name Wiggins Group plc has now disappeared from the database at Companies House and Planestation is now listed on the LSE website.
So fellow travellers, forget Wiggins, the name of the game is now PLANESTATION. Lets hope it goes like an express train.

Surprise Surprise !
Perhaps it's delayed to enable them time to release something on the Liverpool deal ?

The announcement will be from EUjet, not from PTG.
For the sake of everyone else, it takes time for an airline to get everything together for new routes. Apart from making the aircraft available, there is crew employment and training. Logistics to be set up and contracts to be placed with service providers. It's not surprising it is taking some time but the fact that next week is quoted for the newly scheduled announcement is promising, IMHO.

Thanks Socs that all makes sense. Little point in making announcements only to have to adjust statements made within the next few days, that would certainly attract the wrong type of comments!!

Something positive about Liverpool at last, feel this will have a good effect on the share price on Monday, pity the announcement was not made earlier in the day.
Not too good for Mr Lansbury although I could cope with 12 Months 'garden leave' on his likely salary, severance deal. Must have had a bit of a dissagrement in the office.

This one is a bit more intiguing to me as if memory serves me right she was standing down at the AGM anyway! I wonder what has happened to accelerate her departure.
It is also getting to the point where surely a statement needs to be made regarding the strategy the company is taking. All we are seeing is one director after another leaving, an announcement that LFG is in negotiation (after the press had reported as much). It is starting to concern me that we as shareholders are being kept in the dark for so long. the company also made no comment with regard to the delay in the announcement of the EUjet routes - hopefully that will happen as planned thursday - as this has be of concern now with the recent statements from Ryanair and BA regarding the price wars that are going on in the sector.
Anyone else concerned about the lack of communication or are am I just getting paranoid.

Fundamentalist,
I think a lot of us have thoughts about delays in announcments from companies, not just from PTG I might add. It seems to be common practise to let the shareholders know of developments after the event, this probably protects the shares of the companies from unnessary speculation until details of events are finalised.
It is interesting that so many internal events are happening here in PTG recently and I particularly note the appointment of the new advisor and broker and wonder if the new advisor has been involved in these recent decisions.
If this was the case I would not be critical, as looking back over the recent history of the company radical changes certainly needed to have been made to get PTG moving forward, and I am sure that I would be joined by many investors in wishing the present board all good wishes and support that is neccessary to this end.
Rgds

I suppose it all depends upon what the new adviser is to advise on!

Looks like they are getting a grip on the company so at least that should end the uncertainty.

What is everyones opinion of this? As I see it :
Positive
Confirmation that the focus is going to be on Manston and its devlopment and a strategy is starting to develop
Negative
Is owning part of a low cut airline a good thing in the current environment
Did they choose to buy it or were they filling a gap in the EUJet financing
Be interesting to hear their more detailed plans for Manston tomorrow.
