Love the Merthyr mission statement of progress through stability, make your minds up for fecks sake!

Anyway England were well worth their draw and should have won it.

Excellent April fool on radio 4 just now, concerning the size of the goal in football.

Mersey Hard Men: Johnny Morrissey was Everton FC's winger with bite...

“I’d not been in the 1966 Cup winning side and was desperate to play at Wembley,” he later recalled. “It’s the one big occasion in a footballer’s life that he dreams about."

What do they dream about now?

Leaving a discussion about music to one side:

Blimey, Italy v England, the sense of time lost really hits home. Jones can play in midfield as a one player emergency; accepting him as the weak link and the need for the rest of the midfield to be up to the job - Henderson and Delph weren't. No cover for the full backs, who were themselves poor - disappointed re Clyne. Hart's kicking/distribution remains a joke. Still, it's one game. :)

Impressive end of match by England.....should have won it really....RH is getting a very, very good side together...slowly but surely....lovely skills by the Italians in the first half...but a game is 90mn.....Jagielka was fantastic...

No British clubs left in Europe.......Man U took Man City apart.....

Claret Dragon - 14 Apr 2015 18:12 - 4405 of 6918

Champions League.

No English clubs made it through which is a bit worrying with all the money sloshing around.

Madrid Derby games I have seen this season have been top draw in La Liga.

Hope the same for tonight.

Might be Villa's year......the Gunners will have a hell of a job to beat them....

KidA - 27 Apr 2015 12:20 - 4407 of 6918

Suckered again, like Dortmund this season. Bad day at the office for the attack and at the back - Rooney's form has been dropping the last few games. Good defensive work by Everton. BS ref - boy Marriner, Oliver, Taylor and Moss are poor. The last two being the refs for the League Cup and FA Cup!

Cheers,

Well done to Bournemouth FC - Bournemouth achieving the impossible - chairman Jeff Mostyn

Claret Dragon - 28 Apr 2015 07:46 - 4409 of 6918

Bournemouth. Good luck. Your going to need it in the first season.

Yes they are but with young Eddie Howe they will be ok, hopefully whilst still playing attacking football.

Dil - 29 Apr 2015 11:38 - 4413 of 6918

They probably did.

Joe Say - 30 Apr 2015 07:12 - 4414 of 6918

Boring boring Chelsea

KidA - 30 Apr 2015 13:42 - 4415 of 6918

The biggest surprise was the Chelsea fans singing more than one line.
