Interesting post from AFN :

Right we have been on about genuine institutional interest. i believe we have some, very small at the moment but nevertheless i believe Morgan Stanley were the buy of 150K yesterday.
I have mentioned a number of times that on bloomberg you can see where brokers and banks put out indicators for size they want to trade. IIRA if anyone here has access to a bloomberg. Well on that screen yesterday Morgan Stanley put out an indication for 150,000 shares. The only trade i see in time and sales for that size y'day was at 14p, and booked after hours as broker to broker. The market was never 14p bid y'day 14p was the mid price on the open therefore i do NOT believe the transaction to be a sell. I also believe that Winterfloods were the other side of that trade. Now if MS do have an interest i wouldn't be suprised to see the mm's hold the share down until they got what they want (buggers did that on SEG as a lot of the gents here will verify). I will check that screen everyday to se if Morgan Stanley show any further interest.

From AFN........the review reads well :)
v0d00child - 19 Sep'06 - 21:06 - 1543 of 1544
Check it out...
It should be a "bells and whistles" launch with a full marketing campaign including press, PR and TV coverage.
To be honest its the speed of the game that really impresses me. Pokerwize have proved that it is possible to have good 3D graphics, with advanced camera angles and fun features within the game to increase communication at the tables and bring real enjoyment to the game, while at the same time maintaining the volume of hands with a very high hourly hand rate.
Will they use the Pokerwize software as the official client to be used for all their Prima poker gaming firms, thereby replacing the current rather pathetic 2D client that is fairly average, even by 2D standards? Is an arrangement already in place between the firms, and if not why not? I'm smelling the money already...

Nice post from AFN, and very true IMO. I can see the PLW 3D interface soon replacing all 2D systems.
If you have not tried in, do, even if only in play for fun mode, its impressive.
TompoL - 21 Sep'06 - 10:38 -
I'm a long term holder. Although I very rarely post here I am a constant lurker and post fairly regularly on PLW on Michael Walters.
I've been playing the game since it was first softlaunched a couple of weeks back and love it. However, last night it dawned on me I had nothing to compare it with.
So last night, with the wife and two kids safely tucked up in bed, I set up accounts with what I understand to be the main competition and played each for half an hour.
I am now utterly convinced about the merits of the PLW version. In comparision the others were slow and user interfaces dreadful. Prior to last night I felt I was over exposed to PLW. I've now decided to "raise just a little".
Roll on 1st October.
Best of luck
TompoL.

A table has been set up by a user where Pokerwize users can meet up and try out all the functions of Pokerwize with other Pokerwize users, here are the directions to find the table.
Once on line "Playwize"
At the Lobby area, switch to "Classic View" the button is located in the top right hand of the main "Let me help you get started" box.
Once in Classic View then click on "Private Games" and then "Cash Games" and you'll start to look at page 1 of xxx
Use advance buttons and move yourself to Page 209 of the Cash Games.
In Page 209 you will find a Table called "Wize"
The password is "poker".
As this is only known to Pokerwize players at the moment through the threads on the BB's, then all players there should be using Pokerwize, so a good chance to try out the VOIP and gestures etc..... I'll be looking in over the weekend, see if anyone is on line at the same time.

From the Sunday Press;
Plans to turn Britain into a world leader in internet gambling have been drawn up by ministers, according to internal Whitehall documents, the Sunday Times reports.
In stark contrast to America, where online gambling has in effect been outlawed, ministers want to attract offshore companies to Britain. New legislation will lift the current ban on online gaming businesses in Britain from next year.

A good post and a good idea from 3ld, now if we all use that chat box at the side to ask if the others are using 3D Poker Software, and when they say no say "well, there is a free to download version at " http://www.pokerwize.com " we as PLW shareholders will be doing out bit to spread the word, get more people on 3D software, and more important, more people using Pokerwize !! :)
3ldrechr - 10 Oct'06 - 14:02 - 2188 of 2192
been playing on 50c/$1 table for last 90 mins. asked if any of them were using 3D poker, suckered them all in. They all wanted details, 1 guy left table as he claimed he was going to download. There were 10 at the table me included, 7 of them from Sweden/Norway or Denmark!!! Looks like a great place to plug PLW.

France, Italy, Austria Told to Open Gaming to Foreign Companies
2006-10-12 06:10 (New York)
By John Rega
Oct. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Italy, France and Austria received
European Union warnings to open their gambling industries to
foreign companies or face lawsuits in Europe's highest court.
The gambling cases have gained urgency with the Sept. 15
arrests in France of two executives from BWIN Interactive
Entertainment AG, an Internet bookmaker based in Austria. The
executives, who have been released from custody, are charged
with violating local gambling laws. The company has said French authorities were acting on a complaint by the country's gaming monopoly Francaise des Jeux.
The European Commission, the EU's executive branch in
Brussels, issued the warning to the three countries in a written statement today.
The cases expand the commission's campaign against
obstacles to competition within the 25-nation EU. The agency
says removing internal borders for business has created more
than 2.5 million jobs and 877 billion euros ($1.1 trillion) of wealth since 1993.
PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP estimated the 2005 total gaming
market in Austria at $485 million, with $3.1 billion in France and $603 million in Italy. Italy is in the midst of opening up its gaming market to foreign operators by licensing more sports betting and horse racing shops and so-called ``remote gaming'' by Internet and telephone.
