We all need a couple of oilies in our portfolio - this one's not without it's risks but still plenty potential upside.

Oilexco (BUY) looks a stand-out cheap stock. This is partly a reflection of its high asset concentration, with effectively all the value in the UK North Sea Brenda field. While it is not without risk in terms of reservoir performance, the field has been thoroughly appraised and with the key contracts having been signed, delivery of first oil mid-2006 looks fairly secure. Forthcoming exploration and appraisal drilling on 3-4 other North Sea prospects and fields provide a few shots at significant value upside as well.

Can't understand why, the above is not working. if you type manually into the address box it should work?
From the info it quite easy to follow, and of course they only move once the
wells are complete. For those not up to speed you might require entering the companies web site.

I know for a fact the Ptarmigan well wasnt much of a success. Not seen any figures out yet but i've been told the well was a major disapointment.

Please correct me if I am wrong, (unluckyboy or niceonecyril), this is listed on the main market, so should be eligible for a Maxi-Isa, I tried to get some last week and it comes up as : not suitable for an Isa, is it me or has my broker got this wrong ?

Yes you are correct, i hold mine in a ISA. It qualifies as a duel list company, TSX
and AIM, hope this helps?
Happy 2008 to all.

Thanks niceonecyril, I have just spoken to my stockbrokers and they say : no it
cannot be held in an ISA, frankly these rules are a complete mess, some brokers say yes others say no, this need sorting out now, but will it be : I doubt it. There is not even an official list of shares that can be held in a Maxi-ISA.
