Breakfast is served!

Socrates - 27 Feb 2004 08:32 - 4435 of 23498

I had to struggle to the Cafe in the snow today, it's really brass monkey weather outside. Where is that stockbunny, I need to cuddle something warm and furry!

vasey - 27 Feb 2004 08:41 - 4436 of 23498

You called....??!!!

jeffmack - 27 Feb 2004 09:08 - 4437 of 23498

Socs
Gets some warm weather ordered for the festival

Socrates - 27 Feb 2004 09:19 - 4438 of 23498

Vasey,
How lovely, where have you been? I was beginning to think I would be on my own here all day. I thought about you when I was in Kendal. In the guest house where I was staying were three ladies doing family tree research in the records office. Having great fun they were.

Jeffmack
Are you following PTG? It seems to have come to life at last. If the price action keeps up, you could end up top of the leader board.

hilary - 27 Feb 2004 09:26 - 4439 of 23498

I'm here Old Socs. Is it too early for a Vodka Red Bull?

Socrates - 27 Feb 2004 09:28 - 4440 of 23498

Hilary
Never too early for anything in moderation is it? Are you having a good day, market seems quite lively. Any idea why?

hilary - 27 Feb 2004 09:40 - 4441 of 23498

Nikkei up heavily overnight, Old Socs, on the strengthening greenback. It's pushed the US futures up and it's rubbing off over here.

Socrates - 27 Feb 2004 09:46 - 4442 of 23498

Hilary
Well that would do it I guess, make our goods cheaper over there. Not before time I have to say.

Shall make some coffee for you and Vasey, Cappuccino OK, dash of brandy in it to keep the cold out?

stockbunny - 27 Feb 2004 10:17 - 4443 of 23498

Seeking solace in the tea-rooms this morning - trying to work
and the phone hasn't stopped ringing and now the road outside
is being hacked up (ARRHHKKKK!!!!)

stockbunny - 27 Feb 2004 10:31 - 4444 of 23498

I spy tupperware boxes, flasks and copies of the Sun outside -
looks like they are going to take a tea-break,makes sense after 15 mins
of working machinery!!! (no comment!)
I'm going to try and get on whilst there's a lull in the noise.
See you guys later....
Oh yes whilst I remember I've ordered another ton of fresh straw
for the floor as I hoovered up what was there yesterday afternoon.

((GD...GD...Sorry...you know the hoover...well..it's a bit broke now...
sorry...didn't know it wouldn't survive after sucking up straw,
bottle tops, ring-pulls, wrappers, trifle etc.....sorry...))

little willie - 27 Feb 2004 11:37 - 4445 of 23498

Bunnywunny...big improvement in the rubbish quality then from the old gaff, not going into detail but behind the bike sheds it was disgusting; ground was full of foil wrappers and things. The outside hot-tub had a two inch thick scum on it, kind of grey yellow colour, the dawg reckoned it was chlorine working [?], happy days.
Of course Socs has always been a trifle sprayer, thats why he gets through so much whilst Vasey has never managed the art of opening the old VC without doing a Schuii celebrating another Formula 1 victory.....
Keep mopping...

Ah yes, very hot with a lovely breeze, hows it over there? Tee Hee!!!

stockbunny - 27 Feb 2004 15:54 - 4446 of 23498

Try cold and dull - and that's only the weather (giggle)
But at least the feeble attempt to snow over Middx was shortlived
this morning, it had me worried for a while I can tell you!!

Had enough of working for today, so off to stock watch for a while
and I wonder who's going to win the FTSE competition today??

hightone - 27 Feb 2004 16:41 - 4447 of 23498

LW any news for me on those questions i asked you the other day hi to the rest of you.

HT.

Socrates - 27 Feb 2004 16:53 - 4448 of 23498

stockbunny & little willie
Time you got some new spectacles, I keep telling you to stop drinking in the cowshed at the back of the Tea Shop. That's where GD keeps his oldest and dearest friend.

Come into the Tea Shop proper and you will find a spotless haven of peace and tranquility, comfort and convivial company. Oh, and plenty of sherry trifle in clean glass dishes, cut glass naturally.

Funny old day today, portfolio all over the place but PTG the most active. What fun.

stockbunny - 27 Feb 2004 16:57 - 4449 of 23498

And the company of our Socs too..
Agreed it's been a day when the shares have gone like yo-yos!
Must go, things to do, have a good evening!!!!!

optomistic - 27 Feb 2004 17:24 - 4450 of 23498

Just popped in to celebrate the FTSE comp win. Trifles and doughnuts alround, perhaps a bottle of something as well.
Sorry that you have had to leave Stockbunny, must save you something for tommorrow.
Perhaps something a little extra sweet for Vasey. Someone been unkind to her? She hasn't called in since early morning!!!

Socrates - 28 Feb 2004 09:19 - 4451 of 23498

Good morning all. Breakfast on the go, fresh sawdust on the floor in the stable for those with a rustic inclination. Cafe spotless as usual, well done the cleaner who have earned a smarty point for polishing the dangly bits on the chandeliers.

snoball - 28 Feb 2004 14:18 - 4452 of 23498

GD, can I change my BP. for RTR (Reuters) please.
Thanks.
