Interesting little company. Did a series of asset swops to leave them with half of the 4th largest Nickel deposit in the world.
The deposit itself is in the Philippines has been known about for 30 years but due to low prices and lack of demand in the Far East it was never exploited. With the explosion in demand from India and China the nickel price has climbed from $2 to $6.50 but oddly enough is still considered low.
The final approval stage for exploitation is just about to be approved and extraction will begin. The company already has one contract with a Japanese smelter and is in discussions with smelters in a series of countries.
Nothing clever about the operation, as the ore is of sufficiently high grade, they dig it up and ship it out. Infrastrucure is already in place for operation.
TMC is currently priced at 18m, the initial Japanese contract is worth 4m and each additional contract will hopefully be at this level or greater.
Final approval turns the company into a producer and each additional contract simply increases their size.
The management is tight with cash and has some good quality mining skills onboard.
The Philippine government is fast tracking the final approval and the company says it expects it shortly.
One to hold for approval and through the series of RNS's as more contracts are won. Company should be worth 50m in 6 months and 100m in 12-18 months.
Buy it, ignore it, just pointing this one out.

Apparently, Horatio C Ramos, one of the board of Atlas Consolidated has told a Phillipine newspaper of 10 companies whose mining permits have been accelerated to attract more mining companies to the Phillipines. Although the words MPSA wern't used he did say that Toledo's annual temporary permit had been extended to one of 25 years. This is the MPSA or as good as when substansiated. Toledos chairman has been quoted as saying that the sp should hit 10 within 3 months of MPSA being granted. All we need now is RNS.

sod the RNS ..... just the 10.00 will do me fine, so long as that is per share and not the value of my total investment!

very strange .... now a huge 15p spread here ...... would have thought MMs would have closed same rather than doubling ..... perhaps just a temp aberration

Oilyrag, it looks like all you predictions have been spot on to date. What price do you see TMC attaining by end of June?

I think, and it is purely a guess, that the price is being held back for now awaiting confirmation of what we believe to be the case. If confirmed, I would like to think that it will surge again. Given that the chairman seems to think 10 within 3 months of MPSA being granted, I would guess at 10-4=6 divided by 3 equals 2. Possibly a 2 gain on current sp by end of June. IMO just using averages. It may well fly all the way, it may be held back by mm's. I shall use the above measured against time to see if the price is ahead or behind schedule. If however your in it for the long haul then all this is totally irrelevant. Good luck to all DYOR.

22,000 bought and only 1,000 sold since the last movement in sp, very strange, almost the quiet before the storm.

13:36 Time when price started to move again. Was this for an inst buy? Lets see at 14:36 or 15:36 for what trades go through to see why they held price.

I have searched all my possible news sources (and thats quite vast) and the article appears fake, thats why no link.
It could just be a ramp, and if it is, then the poster who posted the article could be heading for serious trouble.
Faking a news report, in order to influence the price, is a very serious offence.
I'll take it back if the article is real, but so far, on my searches and questions, the article appears fake.

Interestingly enough, Papalpower, I, too can't find any article on this Horatio Ramos' comments.
Oilyrag, please paste the article here if there is one.

Is there actually an article being circulated?, usually the price doesn't ramp-up even if there is dubious articles flying around. The price has been moved up based on some knowledge within the city, and they must definately feel there is no smoke without fire??
I'd hang fire on what is and isn't real or substantiated until more concrete info arrives ie an rns, but in any event it seems to me and others that the price has building up steam for quite a while, it's not as if it hasn't got good reason to be re-rated?

I havn't got a copy, like I said I heard it from a very reliable source who found reference to it on advfn. The board over there has been going crazy all day.
