Sorry, Fishfinger, but the LibDems have had no influence in this current government whatsoever. They are there for one reason only - to take the blame if anything goes wrong. With the country in deep recession when Cameron took office, it was always going to be a difficult period of government and it was important at the time that the Conservatives had someone to blame if things had gone reels of cotton. And Clegg was stupid enough to put his hand up for the job.

And in return for all that, Clegg got a few ineffective ministers (remind me again, what does Cable do exactly?), and a referendum on AV which both the Tories and Labour knew from the outset would never get voted in, because they knew they'd be able to turn the public sufficiently against it and maintain the two-party system.

So, if you really want to think the LibDems have been influential in this government, that's your prerogative, but from Cameron's viewpoint, it's a win-win situation now and it always has been.

Probably gf, whats the alternative?

Ill ignore hilary as I have already proved earlier today how the Lib/Dems AND UKIP have influenced current government policy and if shes so blinkered that she cannot see that well then its totaly pointless debating with her.

So thats you and TANKER and ive been tempted but my local labour MP is so helpful and helped me on a matter just a few months ago while the Tory didnt even bother replying on the same matter, so Im going for labour and cant stand the posh boys running the Tories at the moment, but reckon that will change after their defeat at the GE.

So really were looking at a snap shot of Tory voters , yourself , TANKER, Cynic, Hays, Hilary, and we have 2 of you breaking away to UKIP which more or less reflects the mood in the whole of the country.

Think labour will easily get their 9% target for UKIP.

Theres going to be a big bust up gf, and with a bit of luck some good will come of it...cant be any worse than the present set up.

Surface to air missile attack ruled out as calibre of cockpit bullet holes puts Ukraine pilots in the frame for MH17 murders


This is what a German pilot-cum-air technology expert Peter Haisenko has just published on the subject of the MH17 disaster (my emphases):

‘The misfortune of the Malaysian MH 017 is known to all. The flight
recorder is in England and is being evaluated. What can come of this?
May be more than you want to accept….if you look at the image of
Cockpit-Fragments, this picture is certainly shocking.
Entry And Exit holes from bullets in the area of the Cockpit. This is not speculation, but analysis of clear facts: the cockpit
shows clear evidence of bullet holes. You can see the entry holes and
some exit points. The edges of the bullet holes are bent inwards,
these are much smaller and round in shape. A 30mm calibre. The exit
holes are less well formed and the edges are torn outwards.
Furthermore it is visible that the exit holes have torn the double
aluminium skin and bent them outwards. That is to say, splinters from
inside the cockpit blew through the outside of the cabin. The open
rivets have also been bent outwards….There is only one conclusion one can make, and that is that this: the
aircraft was not hit by a missile. The damage to the aircraft is
exclusively in the cockpit area….

Armour-Piercing Ammunition. Russia has published radar data that a
Ukranian SU 25 was close to MH 017. this corresponds with Spanish air
traffic control that two Ukranian fighter aircraft were in direct
contact with MH 017. Examine the weaponry of the SU 25: it is fitted
out with a 30mm cannon Type GSch-302 /AO-17A, with 250 rounds of
splintering exploding bullets on a belt – shrapnel rounds. The cockpit
of MH 017 was hit from TWO sides, as there are entry and exit holes on
the same side….’

It is a theory that has been put forward by Russia. Why would Ukraine shoot down a plane? The rebels don't have planes. It was also flying away from Ukraine.

Well that puts the cat amongst the pidgeons. WOW. Wonder how this will develop now.

Russia and the rebels would shoot it down by mistake. The Ukraine would have no need to shoot down anything as there were no Russian or rebel planes to shoot down. The rebels had shot down three Ukraine planes over the previous few days.

Yep but your missing the point Jimmy, middle class workers are £1,600 worse off than they were in 2008 in real terms inflated up. GDP PER PERSON is no where near its 2008 figure, which shows a re -distribution of wealth as gone to the top 1%. (ive pointed this out on the thread late last week)

For exammple the FTSE top 100 boses are now on 156 times more take home pay than the average salary.

In 2008 this figure was just 9.

The people using the increasing number of Food banks and Pay day Loan Sharks arent the scroungers but full time working people.

The polls everyone of them have labour in the lead by about 4 to 5 points.

Im a capitalist by heart but I wont vote for the Eton boys now running the Tory party.

I would be voting for them if they had the right people in the cabinet.
