Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Nick,

Wasnt complaining, personally I think 1 post should be enough for everyone ;)

Can AM get hold of US data before the rest of the market see's it? I know it's for sale from the US authorities at a reasonable price. One other trader has suggested that the data available is the US Michg. figs. I gladly pay a subscription for it.

I can't read the BB posts when using Opera 7 this evening. Everything was ok today up to 4:30pm. Using IE6 at the moment to write this. Also, it's been painfully slow at times today followed by a message that's reads sometime along the lines of *Can't connect to server at 128.0.0.0:xxxx*. What's happend?

AndyMoneyAM - 10 Jan 2003 19:15 - 448 of 7315

Jeroo,

Thanks for letting us know. The BB has temporarily been reverted to an older
version. When you say "can't read the BB posts" what exactly happens? Another user has reported that in IE 5 the body of the posts appears to have migrated to a long way off to the right (horizontal scroll to see it). Is that what's happening to you?

We're working at getting the new BB back in.

Same here. Presumably it'll be sorted by hardworking techies while we all go down the pub. Meanwhile, yes, all messages now appearing as vertical list of single words (ie one word per line) somewhere over on the far right. Horizontal scroll button is about 4mm wide within my 265mm bar and needs moving about 30% to find text.

Juzzle,

Which browser and version do you use?

Is something awry with the 'Search' thingy? I was trying to find something I thought I saw yesterday about how to import market prices into an excel spreadsheet using web query. I put all the key words I could think of in the relevant box - but it said nothing was found. Obviously if I knew which thread it was on, I wouldn't have needed the Search facility......! If anybody finds it, please let me know!

Juzzle - 10 Jan 2003 19:26 - 452 of 7315

IE5,with W95 Andy
Normally OK.
Croc's header charts etc also thrown offscreen to similar extent.
BB list is unaffected, ditto message entry field. It's just the threads themselves wot have gone wonky.

Big Al - 10 Jan 2003 19:29 - 453 of 7315

At this point everything looks normal to me. XP & IE6 FYI

Jeroo - 10 Jan 2003 19:31 - 454 of 7315

Andy - Yes thats has happend to me but I thought everyone was being artistic and having fun - Doh! Initially the text appeared right justified, then nothing after a refresh.

When viewing the site with Opera 7, there is no message body replies at all in any of the BB threads. However, the first initial message at the top of the thread can be read but the replies are empty from message #1 onwards. This only happend late in the afternoon at around 4:45pm

I'm using IE6 to type this to you.

Opera 7 & Windows XP pro

Martini - 10 Jan 2003 19:33 - 455 of 7315

Looks ok to me as well on xp ie6

AndyMoneyAM - 10 Jan 2003 19:40 - 456 of 7315

This older version of BB has problem with IE 5 and Opera 7 (maybe others)

IE 5.5, IE6 and Netscape 7 appear to work OK.

Have asked JT to look at switching back the BB.

vasey, your problem may be this older BB. Will investigate.

Help!

I hope somebody can read this because after it's posted I wont be able to!

All the posts on every thread have disappeared and appear blank to me.

Can somebody email me please.

Earlyriser - 10 Jan 2003 20:08 - 458 of 7315

Cannot now save my password on log-in page so have to type in each time, this is time consuming, also, when I try to open any thread my security box appears asking me if I want to open both secure and non-secure items, this never happened before and I have not changed my internet security settings on IE6.

Big Al - 10 Jan 2003 20:14 - 459 of 7315

Earlyriser - I had to log back in and XP hadn't saved my login/password details as it had before. Also got that box. Temporary I assume.

vasey - 10 Jan 2003 20:50 - 460 of 7315

Is it me or has the 'log out' button disappeared? Oh, well.

Seymour Clearly - 10 Jan 2003 22:57 - 461 of 7315

HELP

Can anyone read this? I am getting headers for each person's posts on each thread but no text, and can't even read my own posts once posted. The screen is also incredibly wide. All since the system upgrade, but have also just reinstalled Norton Internet Security 2002 after reformatting my HD.

Judging from the fact that there are posts being created now I expect everyone else has no problem.

Could someone from moneyam e-mail me to tell me if there is a problem or is it me please.

AndyMoneyAM - 10 Jan 2003 23:16 - 462 of 7315

Symour Clearly, I've emailed you so you'll be able to read my reply.

The BB has reverted to an older version that does not work well with IE 5 and Opera 7. IE 5.5, IE 6 and Netscape 7 are OK.

We're working on getting the new BB back online.

Andy, if that was a reply to me, I still have nothing other than the poster's handle and time/date. Have switched to a different PC without any firewall and still no better. HELP!
edit - now OK with IE6. Thanks.

Dil - 11 Jan 2003 08:28 - 464 of 7315

I keep getting a message when opening threads saying "you are about to view both secure and non secure items" with options ok , cancel etc.
