optomistic.....thank you for that very kind thought. I shall try and cling to what semblance of dignity I have left as I repeat over and over .....'a wise head keeps a still tongue!' ...but it is difficult some days, I can tell you!

Gianni - 28 Feb 2004 14:52 - 4454 of 23498

GD - Looks like the Blues supporters are bringing up the rear. In order to try and do better as me ol teacher used to say can I please drop my PRM short and go wif the flo instead by being long and my choice is..ASM (all or nothing).

optomistic - 28 Feb 2004 15:28 - 4455 of 23498

Hi Vasey

Keep on posting, I don't often call in the tea rooms but I am always looking 'through the window' I really do enjoy the humour in here, very entertaining, perhaps the reason I don't come in too often is because I would find it difficult to keep up to your ready wit. Have a nice day everybody.

Missed you again, I like the saying you quoted. My motto is from Rooseveld, talk quietly and carry a big stick!

jeffmack - 28 Feb 2004 20:26 - 4457 of 23498

Youngest son passed his driving theory test today. Going to book him on an intensive course where you have 20 lessons in two weeks then take your test. Then look for a car I guess.

This_is_me - 28 Feb 2004 22:07 - 4458 of 23498

Make sure you take at least 5 years to find one Jeff!

Andy - 28 Feb 2004 22:28 - 4459 of 23498

Jeff,

Who runs those courses please?

jeffmack - 28 Feb 2004 23:05 - 4460 of 23498

I looked in yell.com for local driving schools and looked at the ones with web sites and most of them do them. Its not residential, you just have 20 hours spread over two weeks or less and then take your test.

Socrates - 28 Feb 2004 23:18 - 4461 of 23498

Socrates - 29 Feb 2004 10:36 - 4464 of 23498

Lazy git indeed, that's a fly buzzing in the lampshade. I've been busy slaving away in the kitchen peeling spuds for the roast 'taters.

jeffmack - 29 Feb 2004 10:46 - 4465 of 23498

Sorry Socs, I thought that pile of rubbish in the corner was you having a snooze.

Have heard about the latest virus going around, it's called the Government virus: Nothing works, but all your diagnostics tell you everything is fine.

Please sell LLOY and buy DOM.

Not expecting anything this weekend on wiggy. Unless they announce another contract the next likely event will be the the BIP at Manston and hopefully improving freight figures.

Just for now I'm going to have a nice hot cup of tea and a Celia Imry Bun.
