I looked in yell.com for local driving schools and looked at the ones with web sites and most of them do them. Its not residential, you just have 20 hours spread over two weeks or less and then take your test.

Socrates - 28 Feb 2004 23:18 - 4461 of 23498

Hey, people about at this time of night, whatever next?

Socrates - 29 Feb 2004 08:17 - 4462 of 23498

Socrates - 29 Feb 2004 10:36 - 4464 of 23498

Lazy git indeed, that's a fly buzzing in the lampshade. I've been busy slaving away in the kitchen peeling spuds for the roast 'taters.

jeffmack - 29 Feb 2004 10:46 - 4465 of 23498

Sorry Socs, I thought that pile of rubbish in the corner was you having a snooze.

Have heard about the latest virus going around, it's called the Government virus: Nothing works, but all your diagnostics tell you everything is fine.

Thanks for the plaudits, most gratifying.

Please sell LLOY and buy DOM.

Jeffmack
Not expecting anything this weekend on wiggy. Unless they announce another contract the next likely event will be the the BIP at Manston and hopefully improving freight figures.

Just for now I'm going to have a nice hot cup of tea and a Celia Imry Bun.

optomistic - 29 Feb 2004 14:20 - 4473 of 23498

Socrates
Before you settle down after your tea and bun. On a slightly higher flight level than 'wiggy' what are your, and of course, anyone elses views on TBI.

Golddog - 29 Feb 2004 14:22 - 4474 of 23498

Blimey, According to the leaderboard we have Sexy littlewoman, Naughty Bunny girl, The Gorgeous Vasey, and Jenny the Babe all on top of our little willy!

Dont forget that the deadline for posting your trade transaction is 7pm today!, anyone posting after this time will be too late and poochy will be very strict over this deadline.

Today's special is Duck with spuds.

Me again!

Sorry to keep reminding you - but the deadline for entering the FTSE comp. is tommorrow at 0800, I'm pleased to see the number of entries from the investors room going up (it's a pity it seems to be dropping from the traders room!)

stockbunny - 29 Feb 2004 15:23 - 4477 of 23498

GD - Afternoon my dearest pooch!
Please can the bunny change PAG for CRY (feeling daring!)
Thanks GD !!!

JeffMack congrats to the youngest JMack for passing the dreaded theory
test!! My eldest young bunny is still looking for a car...
It's been an eye opener the absolute cr*p cars some people try and sell,
most of which I wouldn't give 50 for and they want 1,700 !!$$%!
hope you and yours have better luck than we are having!!!

Vasey - agreed long time no see, but good to say HELLO!!! and
hope life is treating you right.

Socrates - 29 Feb 2004 17:43 - 4478 of 23498

optomistic
opto? TBI, I used to hold it but frankly I got bored. I could never subscribe to the view that it was a bid target and that was all that ever got talked about. I might have held on but I wanted to put some more money into MPH and NIS. So I dumped it. Besides, I was heavily into aviation related stocks and decided it was too much of a risk so I diversified a little.

This_is_me - 29 Feb 2004 17:54 - 4479 of 23498

The young generation are slow learners atren't they, I did 10 lessons and passed my test first time. I don't think any of my friends had as many as 20 lessons before passing - not the boys anyway!
