Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

Fred doesn't do debates. It is just a stream of nonsense. I asked myself if I would read a thread just composed of Fred's nonsense. The answer is that I would never read the thread at all. On that basis I decided not to read his posts ever. The thread is much improved by Fred's permanent absense when I read it.

Sir Mick Jagger, Dame Judi Dench and Stephen Hawking have joined hundred of celebrities, artists and public figures calling on the people of Scotland to vote to stay in the union.
Over 200 public figures from sport, cinema, television and literature have written an open letter to the people of Scotland in advance of next month’s referendum which says: “Let’s stay together”.
Other signatories include Helena Bonham Carter, the actress, Tom Daley, the Olympian, and singers Dame Vera Lynn and Sir Cliff Richard.
The letter states: “We want to let you know how very much we value our bonds of citizenship with you, and to express our hope that you will vote to renew them.
“What unites us is much greater than what divides us. Let's stay together.”

Thanks GF.
Many seem to have the Putin concept of any opposing opinions are invalid and should be surpressed.
--------
Greek,
Hadn't noticed you weren't posting.
Go back to your thin blue line.
--------
Hazy one.
It seems to me that your posting are generally filled with second hand hand downs with the mantras and hand downs from the con party HQ. God help them they seem in turmoil.
But I am notice views on opinion polls changing and see that you are realising the chances of you con party associates don't have a cat in hell's chance of forming a government the next UK government and Cameron with the residue of his grey matter thinks it is necessary to be in the EU.
--------
Exec,
You will have noticed, I hope, that the cartoons are not mine but those of the Guardian and Independent, as a personally I think a reasonable barometer of public opinion.
Think Matt's cartoon often hit the mark, but a different mark.

Cynic,
The usual under-educated huff and puff from somebody in the mob commenting on something he purports not to have read.
As usual, consisting of unrewarding repartee.

Anyway, have to admit it is a beautiful warm day in the Dordogne and the wine is delightfully cheap.

The one thing I admire about Cameron is how long he has held on to his job in spite of u-turn after U-turn, catastrophe after catastrophe and splitting his party.
It means that the Con party is a party of wealthy has beens and there is nobody able enough to replace him and lead them to defeat at the next election.

exec,
I have a solar panel on my motor home.
Very effective and runs the majority of my electrics.
Can be dodgy in winter but compensate by increasing number of storage batteries and also a back 15 amp generator. Rarely use the latter.

There's nothing wrong with opposing views whatsoever. That's all a part of life's rich tapestry.
But when you bore the pants off normal folk day in, day out with the same incessant drivel and verbal diarrhea, to the point that sensible people leave the board in their droves because of YOU, then you've got to expect it when those people who remain get pissed off and tell you that you're a twat.

What I write may be boring to you, but not to all.
Squelching may help you or just ignore the postings, there are many other threads and if you feel neglected start another to your liking and ask the Greek to join you.
