Metals strengthened yesterday on weakness in the dollar with Silver reaching 730c and October Gold back up to 435.0, dealers are long and are pushing for a return to the highs of June at 447.50. Oil, Natural Gas and Heating Oil all hit fresh highs yesterday on fears that regime change in Saudi may signal a hardening of views over oil production levels. It is expected that OPEC will signal a change to a target range of $40-$50 per barrel from the current $28. Oil is now off at 61.00-61.08 and looking for further news to send it higher. Bears are taking some relief but the pressure is still to the upside.

Ideal new home Aug 2 2005
Ian Mcneal, Evening Gazette

Biofuels Corporation, which is building the WORLD'S largest biodiesel plant on Teesside, has moved into new offices in Billingham.

The company, which is close to COMPLETING its 28m facility at Seal Sands, has moved into 7,500sq ft offices at Belasis Hall Technology Park.

It has relocated from Belasis Business Centre, where it was based in three individual office suites.

Sean Sutcliffe, Biofuels Corporation chief executive, said the move was required to bring together staff and facilities and to allow for future EXPANSION.

He said: "Belasis Hall is an ideal location as it is safe, secure and has fantastic landscaped surroundings.

"As we were happy with the location of our existing offices but needed something similar to grow into, we decided to look into relocating to larger premises at Belasis.

"The new offices are perfect as they allow us to stay where we are and our staff don't have the inconvenience of moving."

Biofuels' Seal Sands plant is expected to begin full operation at the end of September.

The facility will produce 250,000 tonnes of fuel a year, which is produced from oilseed rape.

Belasis Hall Technology Park is owned by Buildings for Business, a joint venture between property firm UK Land Estates and regional development agency One NorthEast.

Sir Ian Wrigglesworth, UK Land Estates executive chairman, said: "We are delighted to be able to satisfy the expansion needs of any tenants, especially one as interesting and groundbreaking as Biofuels.

"We wish the company every success in its ambitious plans for growth."

Biofuels has been supported with a 1.2m Regional Selective Assistance grant by One NorthEast.

Margaret Fay, One NorthEast chairman, said: "It is welcome news that Biofuels has been able to meet its expansion plans so close to its existing home which is testament to the quality of business space available in the Tees Valley."

Europe warned of diesel shortfall by 2015
By Thomas Catan in London
Published: August 9 2005 22:04 | Last updated: August 9 2005 22:04

Europe will face a severe shortage of diesel fuel within 10 years unless large additional investments are made in refineries, according to Wood Mackenzie, the oil consultants.

In a study due to be released on Wednesday, Wood Mackenzie says that current investment plans will leave Europe with a shortfall of 50m tonnes of diesel a year by 2015 about a fifth of projected demand.

Anyone still holding these,,this still looks a good bet to me, plant due to open soon, wilbs are you still in , i am ..

Frampton - 10 Aug 2005 09:21 - 453 of 1184

I am still holding. I have high hopes for these in the next couple of months. As you say, plant opening very soon, so long as they confirm there are no more delays, these will fly.

jimmy b - 11 Aug 2005 14:51 - 454 of 1184

Framton , we have lift off , ( I hope ) !

Frampton - 11 Aug 2005 18:46 - 455 of 1184

Brilliant! I've been out most of the day so this is a nice rise to come back to (this is my second biggest holding after SEO so I'm hoping for a good few months).

jimmy b - 13 Aug 2005 10:57 - 456 of 1184

We did have lift off , then we landed again, they can't hold this back much longer.

Frampton - 13 Aug 2005 17:20 - 457 of 1184

Agreed Jimmy, it's only a matter of time.

On It's way down again, wonder just how low It's going this time.

jimmy b - 31 Aug 2005 15:27 - 461 of 1184

Even if there is another slight delay in production i'm holding ,,,this plant will be up and running soon...

Frampton - 31 Aug 2005 16:30 - 462 of 1184

Totally agree Jimmy. The shares are a give away at this price, I'd be adding if I could.

jimmy b - 31 Aug 2005 16:54 - 463 of 1184

It's just annoying the way this has gone down Frampton,,however i'm reading that the world will be short of Diesel in the near future, and here we have Europe's biggest bio plant nearly ready to start production ,Bingo !

Stan - 31 Aug 2005 17:07 - 464 of 1184

Medium to long term you could well be right boys.

Just want to see the price bottom out.

Frampton - 01 Sep 2005 08:32 - 465 of 1184

How much lower can this go? It has to a bargin at todays prices - it'll be much higher than this in a few months time, even if there is a delay it's got to be in production soon. I'm not selling any, I'm just wondering at what price to buy some more?

jimmy b - 01 Sep 2005 09:42 - 466 of 1184

Well we are in the 140's and like you, instead of getting out i'm thinking of a few more , i will usually stop out of a falling share ,,but not this one...

Frampton - 01 Sep 2005 10:47 - 467 of 1184

I did increase my holding by 50% this morning at 1.50, I think I might have been better off watching and waiting for abit.
