I can't see a lot of difference between having child's head cut off and a child dying of malaria, TB or starvation.

Intervention is necessary, but not simple USA, or depleted forces of UK but with the "authority of the "Free" World.

Otherwise we will be stoking up future problems for the West and ourselves.

There is a bigger and bigger division between the west and the third world....and as we progress (if you can call it that).... the wider this will get....one of the dangers is that sophisticated weapons are now finding their way into the hands of people that shouldn't have them.....one person armed with a stinger style missile is now able to bring an aircraft down ....this was unthinkable thirty or so years ago....what will happen in twenty to thirty years time perhaps even sooner as arms get more and more dangerous and end up in the wrong hands ?.....we are heading for a total disaster for civilian aircraft in the future !....
It used to be....a bow and arrow.....folllowed by a gun that could kill many.....now a portable missile can kill hundreds....what's next ?....if the trend continues...one person can do a lot of damage !....is this the end of humanity as we know it ?...

Anyhow, a new 72 hour truce has been agreed for a few hours or so.

Let's see what happens.
