THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

LOL.

Just one more deserting a sinking vessel.

A little rant.

N-Power are messing me about.

I've just moved away from them with both Gas and Electricity and so require a Final Bill. My account when I moved showed £275.50 in Credit. It now doesn't show that and only refers to my last D/D payment and its date back in June.

To compile my Final Bill, then of course Final Readings are required.

Since the new supplier has my Opening Readings (called 'Industry' Readings as against 'Customer' readings) then it is clearly obvious that both of my meters have been read and NPower do have this information.

What is the hold up in sending me my Final Bill and the change from my £275.50 Credit?

My Direct Debit with NPower is still 'open'.

I am beginning to start blaming the Tory government for letting these useless, administratively incompetent Energy companies get away with scamming and usurping from the general public.

There are millions of us now suffering from deliberately contrived incompetence to maximise profitability to the 'Nth' degree. We have had it from banks and we get it from the Energy 'Big 6' and I suspect we are soon to get it from the NHS (Yes. It has been privatised I do now believe)
One more month and I will DEFINITELY be turning my vote over to the Labour Party who I sincerely hope will nationalise these industries.

THEY WILL, THEY WILL.........WELCOME ABOARD COMRADE.

doodlebug4 - 11 Aug 2014 15:59 - 44895 of 81564

ExecLine - I've just changed suppliers as well and was asked by my new supplier to supply a photograph of my meter readings in case of any dispute with my old supplier regarding the validity of the readings ! I would have thought it the responsibilty of the suppliers to validate the readings.

UK - YouGov poll: if Cameron resigned after 2015 election, preferred party leader by CON voters:

Johnson 41%
May 15%
Osborne 11%
Gove 5%

Haystack - 11 Aug 2014 17:15 - 44899 of 81564

That's a very silly poll. It is more important who the MPs want and Boris is not that popular with them.

aldwickk - 11 Aug 2014 17:16 - 44900 of 81564

Is it worth changing ? the only change i made was going from Southern electricty to British gas for duel power, on their website you can just click on to get your credit sent to your bank account.

For the average user its not worth changing, one drops their price then a few weeks/months later your old supply does the same.

aldwickk - 11 Aug 2014 17:19 - 44901 of 81564

I vote for Boris , even London Labour voter's like him.

aldwickk - 11 Aug 2014 17:23 - 44902 of 81564

Haystack

It is more important who the MPs want and Boris is not that popular with them.

That's were you are wrong , he has a lot of surport on his anti EU stance and he is their only chance of staying in power.

Haystack - 11 Aug 2014 17:31 - 44903 of 81564

The voting system is such that only candidates that pass the MPs' vote are put forward to the local activists for their vote. In the last leader election, there were lots of candidates such as Ken Clarke, Liam Fox etc. Only David Davies and Cameron got through the vote from the MPs. Ken Clarke was the favourite amongst the local activists, but the MPs thought he was too pro Europe.

MaxK - 11 Aug 2014 18:13 - 44904 of 81564

At least you knew where Ken Clarke stood.

MaxK - 11 Aug 2014 18:17 - 44905 of 81564

ahoj.

I think the €uroburgers are in over their heads.

They can have embargoes till hell freezes over, but it wont change the Russians minds.

Basically, they cant do anything about it.

A child is photographed, waiting to be killed by militants. ISIS uses these images to terrorize others and to glorify their spree of terror.

Islamic State terrorists have begun their promised killing of Christians in Mosul, and they have started with the children. According to a report via CNN, a Chaldean-American businessman has said that killings have started in Mosul and children's heads are being erected on poles in a city park.

IDS should help them at the next election.

Has he resigned yet?

Mind the Daily Mails headlines are helpful.

"Barefoot and chilling out, David Cameron on the beach for his second foreign holiday of the year as shocking new humanitarian crisis unfolds in Iraq"

What hasn't he done for the Mail?
