How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Ok, Maybe not, That Rooney shot netted me a wedge. As soon as he hit it I swept up some money and laid it off!

Thanks for greening advice Scrip. Scalping NI was far too exciting!

That Rooney shot netted me 4% in a flash, took a risk with a much larger stake on fill or kill but it paid off big time. That's made me a bit happier after seeing that shambles.

Sorry to hear you suffered Steve, hopefully not too badly.
I should have greened up on my pre-match trade on England but never thought I would have to.

my biggest ever loss but cest la vie - been having a good week on the markets so cant complain too much (was short PRTY -30% and long LGB +70%)
The annoying bit is i am one of the most critical of the england team, i just thought ireland were that poor even we could beat them. At least Henry got me some back with a beauty for the French

Can't see this team even qualifying for the World Cup let alone winning anything with Sven in charge. World class players led by a complete chump. Why can't we just play with a system that the players feel comfortable with rather than choosing a team to suit a system?

Totally agree that the guy in charge is a chump but who in our side is really world class and doesnt just have a high profile due to our media? I cant see a single player in our side who would get in to Brazils (with the possible exception of a fit John Terry)

I had a great night on the Scots then went down the pub to avoid losing it on England / Wales games due to sentiment.
Should have stayed at home :-)
Fundy , the odds on Wales or Ireland beating England were stupid if you ask me and you were done more by emotion/sentiment/etc more than anything else.
I try to avoid Wales games except rugby and only go small then.
All the best.

Fundy , don't blame Sven ... man for man the 11 English guys were better than their counterparts ... if they can't win then its their fault.

first and probably last time i back england. Emotion has nowt to do with it - i have been one of the england football side and english football in general's biggest critics for the last few years. As you know, i get passionate about the rugby and cricket, the football at international i can take it or leave it and im rapidly losing interest in the premiership. Decided to make an effort to get to see Sale Sharks more this winter (even though im a Saracens fan!!!)

PS shame we lost the decent half of the Welsh contingent tomorrow - huge toss to win - win it and bat properly we can be all but safe after 4 sessions - lose the toss and we could be staring it in the face for 5 days.
Come on Ponting - tails never fails!!!!!

Disagree with you on the world class point, although they have to be on form to justify that tag, which they are not. I certainly think that Beckham, Gerrard, Rooney, Lampard, Terry would have little problem fitting into most countries teams and Robinson is turning out not too bad. We do have the potential to be a great team, but I fear that potential will never be realise whilst Sven is in charge. All this technical crap is all very well, but we were turned over tonight by a team that played with passion and committment, most of whom would not get a run out in a premiership side. Personally I think we should play in the same vein, but you will not get that when the manager looks like he doesn't give a shit!

PS Hope the knee is bearing up and you will be out on the course soon.

If i knew they were coached by one of your lot.......

were gonna have to agree to disagree - imo:
Beckham, decent passer and dead ball specialist but struggled to fit into a team ethic since united
Gerrard, good but not great, doesnt seem to know his role in the England side
Rooney, still all hype that the stats dont back up. Doesnt score anywhere near enough goals and is often too selfish - lucky his temper hasnt got him into more trouble than it has so far
Terry, quality English centre half
compare this to Brazil - Ronaldinho, Robinho, Adriano, Ronaldo, Emerson, Kaka, Ze Roberto etc etc etc - no comparison in my book.
the big problems the current england team have is lack of a proper striker who can hold the ball up, lack of width and a general lack of pace through the team but especially in midfield
Lampard, overrated pure and simple - gets most of the credit at Chelski that should go to Makele and looks lost without him
Knees a lot better though knackered the back when moving - still the physio's very nice :-)
