We only have to beat Andorra in our last game and we're there.

A win tomorrow against Israel and against Andorra and we top the group , the game against Bosnia inbetween is irrelevant even if we lose 20-0 as the first criteria to decide positions is the head to head results.

Party time in 17 hours 30 minutes :)

Dil - 07 Sep 2015 02:15 - 4514 of 6918

Israel came and "parked the bus" and Wales didn't want to lose.

Only got to draw against Andorra at home to qualify but we blew our chance of ending up top of the group imo thanks to our useless got lucky jack bastard manager's tactics.

Was like watching paint dry.

It's obvious our clubs are now second best if not third in european football now.....this is the lack of british players in these sides that is doing this....you have to have a very, very tight group to succeed at the highest level and I'm having big doubts about this mish-mash lot I have to say...that so called 5 billion pounds deal for the premiership is a joke !.....nuts who paid for that...

Roberto Martinez heaps pressure on Brendan Rodgers by claiming 'Liverpool are favourites' ahead of Merseyside derby
Everton are in better form going into the match at Goodison, but Martinez claims that the £200 million spent by Rodgers makes his side the underdogs

Roberto Martinez insists Liverpool should be ranked favourites for Sunday’s Merseyside derby because of their significant transfer spending.
Many consider Everton to have a more balanced side and to be in better form going into the Goodison meeting, especially given the problems encountered by Brendan Rodgers this season.
But Martinez is rejecting the theory and says the expectations should be at Anfield after over £200 million was spent on players over the last three years.
“The way we have started and the way we have played we are showing some form,” said Martinez. “That could see us as favourites.

“If you look at the amount of money Liverpool have spent in the last three seasons they need to be favourites and carry the expectation.
“I think the pressure is the nature of the game in the league now. It is normal if you are not winning games.
“From our point of view, it is about how good we can be. How well we can start the game and how well we can use home advantage.
“We respect the opposition and a team with huge investment behind it.”

Everton are seeking their first derby win since 2010 when they hastened the demise of Roy Hodgson as Liverpool manager.
“I know how important it is to get a victory in the derby, it has extra significance, but the only thing that matters is to get three points which would allow you to turn a very, very promising start into an exciting start,” said Martinez.
“The derby is a fixture that we want to give our fans a feeling of satisfaction from.”
Martinez must check on the fitness of John Stones and Seamus Coleman.
“It is too early to tell they are progressing well and in the next two sessions we will be able to tell. We will make a decision as late as we can,” said Martinez.

Well played Southampton! Maureen has lost the plot, seven minute post match interview talking shite. Matic, what was that all about? Crying about not getting a penalty, no mention of two clear penalty shouts Southampton should have got. His team are not playing for him end of. Taxi!

Merseyside derby managed by two useless managers who gut lucky at Swansea !

FFS Brendan Rogers got sacked by Reading before landing the job at the gypo's and I'm not sure where they found Martinez ... he was probably an illegal immigrant living on a bench in Port Talbot but was affordable !

Liverpool FC part company with Brendan Rodgers

Liverpool Football Club has announced that Brendan Rodgers will leave his post with immediate effect after having his contract terminated. The process to appoint a new manager is underway.

The Northern Irishman joined Liverpool FC in June 2012 and helped the club mount a memorable title challenge in his second season, as well as helping to develop many exciting young players. LFC's ownership have paid tribute and thanked Rodgers for his contribution.

In a joint Fenway Sports Group statement, Principal Owner John W Henry, Chairman Tom Werner and President Mike Gordon said:

“We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Brendan Rodgers for the significant contribution he has made to the club and express our gratitude for his hard work and commitment.

“All of us have experienced some wonderful moments with Brendan as manager and we are confident he will enjoy a long career in the game.

“Although this has been a difficult decision, we believe it provides us with the best opportunity for success on the pitch. Ambition and winning are at the heart of what we want to bring to Liverpool and we believe this change gives us the best opportunity to deliver it.

“The search for a new manager is underway and we hope to make an appointment in a decisive and timely manner.”
