Dirver, I kicked TAIH as well (and also ZOO!). Am trying not to trade too much at the mo, but just keep getting this gut feeling about AXE.

driver - 25 Jan 2007 16:44 - 456 of 934

Bos
OK to ramp on here.

maestro - 28 Jan 2007 16:07 - 457 of 934

pothead...you said that before and it fell by nearly 50%

bosley - 31 Jan 2007 07:59 - 458 of 934

been watching this one for a while. good trading update today from irc.

the food's good too !!

cynic - 31 Jan 2007 08:30 - 459 of 934

IRC is so tiny with such low liquidity that i am surprised they even bothered to take the company to market ..... the directors, having enjoyed the quick profit they must have made on flotation, may also be wondering the same now they have the tiger by the tail.

if you like restaurant groups, and they are a good sector to be in at the moment, then perhaps better to look at the likes of RTN and DOM which have proven track record and are performing very well indeed.

bosley - 31 Jan 2007 13:22 - 460 of 934

cynic, fair point. not a holder of these as yet, but i am watching them . the people behind irc have a great track record and have ambitious plans for the company. the food is also superb in piccolino's. in a city like manchester which has restaurants every 5 yards, they stand out.

cynic - 31 Jan 2007 13:39 - 461 of 934

that's a good start, but with a market cap of barely 2m, the number of free shares must be minimal.

for myself, i have done well out of both RTN (just bought back in again) and DOM, though volumes in the latter tend to be pretty small

soul traders - 02 Feb 2007 09:49 - 462 of 934

CBOX is on the receiving end of interest in a possible takeover. Told you this had potential :o)

Well done again I think? Bought into VML yesterday take a look.

driver - 03 Feb 2007 12:05 - 464 of 934

cynic
What do you think of ASM chart, and VML.

cynic - 03 Feb 2007 12:39 - 465 of 934

ASM
have never followed this stock but chart looks pretty goods to me with solid break through 25 dma with further support just below from 50 dma .... perhaps a bit overbought so may consolidate for a bit (few days; a week or two?)

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=ASM&Si

cynic - 03 Feb 2007 12:43 - 466 of 934

VML
used to hold this slightly dodgy mining stock ..... prob lost a bit of money on it, but not significant ..... not sure that mining and commodity stocks in general are really the place to be, but as charts go, this again is quite strong though 200 dma is still neutral at best ...... also likley to be some resistance at this level due to reaching recent (May) high ..... se also longer term chart for similar.

if i was in the mood to buy one or the other on the basis of the chart, would plump for ASM .... though on chart basis, have just bought NAE!

driver - 03 Feb 2007 12:57 - 467 of 934

cynic
Cheers for the chart stuff, I bought back into ASM with an average of 30p and have just bought VML.

cynic - 03 Feb 2007 13:13 - 468 of 934

VML
would not be surprising to see sp fall back, perhaps as far as the sharply rising 25 dma (13.50) ...... the hope then is for it to bounce again.

maestro - 04 Feb 2007 16:32 - 469 of 934

watch Voller VLR...most under rated fuel cell maker on the market but rumour has it that it will rocket soon

hijeff - 04 Feb 2007 21:27 - 470 of 934

On the up this week.
CWD
YELL

cynic - 04 Feb 2007 21:50 - 471 of 934

CWD is something of a no-brainer except it will prob be marked up heavily before the open .... talk of an imminent approach in Sunday Times
