MELDEX. Double your money- quicktime. (MDX)

kitosdad - 12 Dec 2007 16:20

The engines have fired up at last for MDX. ( BPRG ) At long last they are being recognised for the force they will become over the next two years. On the cusp of disclosing huge revenue-earning deals with Global pharmacists. These have been hinted at as being unrolled before the years end, but may be in the next days. You still have time to get in at a bargain-basement price before the SP takes off for real shortly.

For Immediate Release
27 November 2008

Meldex International Plc ('Meldex ' or 'the Company')

Update

London, UK, 27 November 2008: Meldex International Plc (AIM: MDX), the specialty pharma and healthcare company announces that it has made significant progress in rationalising its cost base. It has decided to close its operations in Tampa, Florida and also its London office. UK operations will be run from its Cambridge office and any film based products currently produced in Tampa will be manufactured by third parties.

The closure of the site will result in the loss of 14 employees of the business and will reduce the cash outflow by at least $1.8m per annum. The costs of exiting the facility are minimal but there will be a balance sheet write down of approximately 5m.

All intellectual property has been transferred into other Group businesses and the Company is working with sub-contractors to continue its development and product program.

In addition, Meldex has closed its London office and centralised its operations at its Cambridge facility. This has resulted in the loss of 2 staff, the relocation of 3 people and a saving of approximately 350,000 per annum.

Dr Jim Murray, Interim Executive Chairman, Meldex International said;

'We had previously announced a review of our operations in our interim results statement. The closure of these two sites makes a considerable cashflow saving to the business of approximately 1.5m per annum, whilst not impacting on current operations.'

This news shows to myself that the BOD are undertaking appropriate action for a comprehensive restructurework is being doneand at a fast rate for once.I would like to see further announcements to clarify directionthe new poster on ADV.. 2ronnies that obviously had inside info was in my opinion an employee that had just received his marching orders?

kimoldfield - 27 Nov 2008 12:18 - 4537 of 8631

I sincerely hope that the measures the board are taking to stabilise the business are not too little too late Tabby.

Dil - 27 Nov 2008 12:27 - 4538 of 8631

2ronnies has been there a while and yesterday all the knowledgable posters and those in the know (those with their heads up their ar*es) were slagging him off.

tabasco - 27 Nov 2008 12:32 - 4539 of 8631

Thanks once again KimI can tell you that all action taken now will be for shareholder valuethe KKs and Barry have a huge 36/37 million reasons to work for an SP increaseas opposed to RTs zero reason

jkd - 27 Nov 2008 13:02 - 4540 of 8631

gotta laugh at these rnss sometimes
reduce the cash outflow by at least $1.8m per annum and the cost of exiting will be minimal. a balance sheet write down of approx.5m. thats only 278% isnt it?

jkd

Dil - 27 Nov 2008 13:16 - 4541 of 8631

They not very good at accounts jkd , never have been.

And BM's in it for himself tabby ... his holding is miniscule.

jkd - 27 Nov 2008 14:02 - 4542 of 8631

dil
as long as they have support from existing investors and bankers etc. then getting the cash flow down is critical. the balance sheet write off is immaterial, unless your a very major shareholder of course, which im not.
if i were i would want to see just this for starters or i would withdraw my support. just find rnss in general funny how they talk politic. and confuse between numbers comparisons.. % comparisons in next sentence...followed by fraction comparisons in next sentence etc. then ignore or sidestep others. ie. seem to try never tell a lie yet at the same time find it difficult to tell the truth.
as an aside, both Gareth and JJ had one of the best sidesteps i think i've ever seen.
seems to be last chance saloon for mdx.
regards
jkd

Dil - 27 Nov 2008 14:22 - 4543 of 8631

Balance sheet write off suggests rest of the asset valuations (including) debtors needs looking at jkd.

jkd - 27 Nov 2008 14:51 - 4544 of 8631

dil
thanks for the reminder.
i think we have asked these questions before have we not?
not sure if they ever got answered satisfactory or, if indeed at all.
regards
jkd

tabasco - 27 Nov 2008 22:07 - 4546 of 8631

You might be talking about me across there Dil.I am lucky and thick!

ptholden - 27 Nov 2008 22:37 - 4547 of 8631

Dil, check your email ;)

tabasco - 28 Nov 2008 08:10 - 4548 of 8631

Dil>
your comments across the road have no influence on mdx pis.most that cant be bothered with the banter, filtersome play alongits a discussion forum as the doc says
What has done damage is the five or so posters that get fed inside info into this company with the sole aim to build confidenceOnce the jolly old bait has been taken the insinuations emerge in the form of Gotham Citys The Riddler
2ronnies has only been about a couple of weeks and I would have a private guess at whom he isBargainBobhas posted under other names and does damage.the other usual suspects we all know
I just wish the company would come out of the limelight for a few monthsbut certain people want the shares and they are hard to prise away from this stubborn set of pis. IMHO!

Dil - 28 Nov 2008 09:24 - 4549 of 8631

And what damage did he do ... he posted a fact , not too many of them do that on mdx threads.

Its the rose tinted bullsh*t posted by doc et al that has misled most PI's and cost them money.
