marni - 09 Oct 2009 14:22 - 454 of 3666

well done blanche on being retired so early.....unfortunately cos of labour gov, retirement will be 68 by 2020 i think i read and in long term will probably be at least 72.

sorry to hear about your parent dying

cynic - 09 Oct 2009 14:25 - 455 of 3666

66 by 2016 if dementia has not got the better of me

capetown - 09 Oct 2009 14:52 - 456 of 3666

cynic,
With todays volume do you see this breaking through 90p?
In @88.25.

cynic - 09 Oct 2009 16:01 - 457 of 3666

certainly struggling to, but if it does, then with luck will go like a champagne cork

marni - 09 Oct 2009 16:07 - 458 of 3666

yes cynic its 66 by 2016 but could go to 68 soon after

i reckon most people in next generation will work till they die unless they make their own wealth which is for chosen few

boxerdog - 12 Oct 2009 08:26 - 459 of 3666

goldfinger - 12 Oct 2009 08:43 - 460 of 3666

Solid start this morning.

goldfinger - 12 Oct 2009 08:46 - 461 of 3666

ellio - 13 Oct 2009 14:23 - 463 of 3666

Seems to be plenty of resistance to uper 90's?

HARRYCAT - 13 Oct 2009 14:25 - 464 of 3666

Sub 90p would seem a worthwhile top up level for those still following this one, imo.

cynic - 13 Oct 2009 14:44 - 465 of 3666

AFR really is having huge difficulty holding above 90, which is more annoying than anything else ..... sooner or later it will escape that straightjacket

marni - 13 Oct 2009 15:10 - 466 of 3666

it only hit the price yesterday i think, jes give it a chance!!
check it out in 6 months......it will be much more

cynic - 13 Oct 2009 15:15 - 467 of 3666

can't disagree with that, even if many things can happen in the meantime, both good and bad

HARRYCAT - 13 Oct 2009 15:17 - 468 of 3666

I want it to go up NOW, not in 6 months time! 'Get rich quick brigade'. Haven't you read my profile!!!!? ;o)

halifax - 13 Oct 2009 15:40 - 469 of 3666

serious profit taking going on, where will it stabilise?

cynic - 13 Oct 2009 15:40 - 470 of 3666

quite heavy traffic here today ..... 16m traded already against average of 6m ..... perhaps someone offloading a stock judging by sp performance - mind you, everything has turned pretty soggy (even HAWK lol!)

HARRYCAT - 13 Oct 2009 15:59 - 471 of 3666

That was a crazy ride for a hour or so! 86.5 offer but now back up to 88p.

goldfinger - 14 Oct 2009 08:26 - 472 of 3666

NICE......................................

BROKER CALL: Morgan Stanley an Afren fan
14 October, 2009 07:51:21 AM

Broker repeats its overweight recommendation and 110p a share price target after a 'strong and concise' presentation to the Morgan Stanley London sales-force. The chat underpinned the strong growth story at Afren underpinned by appraisal work being undertaken in Nigeria. Also revealed during the meeting was the fact that a main London listing could come as early as December. Morgan Stanley in research note, tells clients: 'The move to London's main board (a listing could be as early as December) should increase Afren's profile and increase liquidity. Our base case NAV is 109p/sh (forward curve) but increased confidence on development of Ebok and de-risking of the resource potential implies an upside case north of 150p/sh. Afren remains one of our top picks in UK E&Ps.'

goldfinger - 14 Oct 2009 08:30 - 473 of 3666

A main listing as early as december......Nice.
