I finally bought a few yesterday @10.025 - still not convinced, but at this level, I'm reasonably happy to be in.
On edit :- if it goes tits up, I'll blame TT for reminding me about them! :-)

Blame TT that is! Have held for a while but halved my holding, which is not substantial anyway, last week.

T he board certainly deserve a lot of criticism over not been in a position to adaquately deal with the criticism put forth by AMEC.
What were they thinking about ??? It should have been obvious to a dolt that this broadside was coming from AMEC and they ought to have been fully prepared for it, which quite obviously they were not !

The buying is certainly picking up at present , so that looks positive

To be fair to the BOD of Sirius, AMEC have given them a lot of flak based on a report which, from what I can see, they did not bother to question themselves. The Integer report appears to be seriously lacking in research and I if were AMEC I would have thrown it straight back and told them to thoroughly check the facts then submit it again!

Skinny, I see that your holding is performing as expected!
And remember it wasn't my fault that you dipped your toe into them. I just asked you a question!!!!!!
Maybe I should dip my own toes in now that they have broken the 10p barrier to buy?

TT :-)
Its still a dubious investment (for now) that seems to be disappearing into the distance.
Presumably the fund raising issue will loom larger as time goes on, so in no rush to buy more, but I'm also quite content to hold what I have.

As the old story goes, the bad news is already in the price. The potential is still there !!
The shock to the system of course was the july 14 date for sorting things out. Why so long ??

From this week's IC:
"SXX has decided to delay submitting a new mining permit application for it's York polyhalite project in the North York Moors National Park until July 2014 in order to complete additional environmental work. Sirius withdrew its previous application earlier this year after third party consultants for the park authority said more environmental studies were required.
This is a significant setback for investors as it now looks like there will be nearly another year of waiting for a meaningful development in the permitting process. Even if the project is eventually approved, there are still several other big issues to be resolved, including mine financing and establishing the marketability of polyhalite - despite Sirius releasing an impressive resource update.
Shares in SXX fell 20% on news of the delay and are down 53% since we published opposing buy & sell arguments in march. We advised readers to sell in July (20.5p) and again in August (15.25p) and repeat that advice again. Sell at 10p.

I see that Sirius had another good day yesterday on its downward spiral.
Maybe it's getting closer to a good price to dip my toe in the water?

Isn't it amazing the differences between some brokers (from 9 to 60 !!). Nobody would think that they were talking about the same stock !
Of course, it's the classic question " half full or half empty ?"

the differences mean some of their so called analysts haven't got a clue and some may be on the right track. dyor.
