Pursuit Dynamics - A British success story in the making? (PDX)

Andy - 31 Aug 2003 11:58

Pursuit Dynamics plc is a UK based research and development company, which was founded in 2000 to develop and commercialise a revolutionary pumping and propulsion technology. Pursuit Dynamics (symbol: PDX) was listed on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange in May 2001.

PDX 25 Sonic.

The PDX Technology is a steam-based system that has applications in both pumping and marine propulsion. It is cheap to manufacture, extremely robust, contains no moving parts and is virtually impossible to block. Pursuit Dynamics owns 100% of the Intellectual Property Rights that surround the PDX Technology.

Pursuit Dynamics is now working towards the commercialisation of the technology it has developed.

Nice to see another new high today.

Andy - 22 Jan 2005 00:49 - 455 of 1003

dclinton,

Agreed, hoping for another rise on Monday to avoid a "double top"!

MACD is looking positive, and AGM is nearing, so always the prospect of some news.

Well done to all holders... chances of very good things... Perhaps some of you guys should enter the asc portfolio challenge no 2. See the asc thread for details.

E W Robson is setting it up. Join in it will be fun.

Mike,

You have the complete text there, it can be found near the bottom of the column here;

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/main.jhtml?xml=/money/2005/01/22/cxmktrep22.xml

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pursuit Dynamics improved 6 to an all-time high of 230p as dealers speculated the group could sign a worldwide deal with Coca-Cola for its steam-based fluids handling technology. In November, the group signed a licensing deal with Coke's UK subsidiary.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well my take on that is that I would have expected more volume had there been some substance to this rumour.

On the otherhand, if there IS some substance, we should see an increased volume next week. Time will tell.

Andy - 24 Jan 2005 12:08 - 459 of 1003

Well not much volume this morning, and the initial markup has gone, so time will tell if that was simply a market rumour, or not.

EWRobson - 24 Jan 2005 20:28 - 460 of 1003

No smoke without fire! Steam supplied by PDX! Nice CFD added today - I said 60,000 but had added a nought: had been trading SEO (sorry, I've mentioned that naughty word again!) and got used to lots of noughts; still 6000 is a start. Role on coca-cola, I say, or should I add some more first?.

I believe this is the end of the bear run. All indicators going positive, top up time methinks.

Dynamite - 27 Jan 2005 12:22 - 462 of 1003

Ted1.. I don't know what charts you are looking at but mine are going down. I am looking for a retracement to 180 to buy back in again. The FY results are due soon and are likely to be bad. I am hoping to get that out of the way before any deal is announced so I can be back in.

Good Luck.

Time to go boys... not nice RUMOURS around.....

legend290782 - 27 Jan 2005 13:59 - 464 of 1003

The guy that tipped me em has just told me to sell em. As i told you lot a few weeks ago, I sold out.

Good luck all

RD - 27 Jan 2005 14:19 - 465 of 1003

Looks like your buying opportunity is coming round a lot faster than you imagined, Dynamite.

Anyone have any ideas what's gone wrong?

AdieH - 27 Jan 2005 14:34 - 466 of 1003

Results are rumoured not to be good because they haven't really got any revenue coming in yet, this will turn at some point but probably after there results in a couple of weeks, i'm out for now but will be back once results absorbed into price etc... Good Luck, still a great bit of technology...

JRM - 27 Jan 2005 14:44 - 467 of 1003

Get out quick!

AdieH - 27 Jan 2005 15:27 - 468 of 1003

Article in the guardian saying that PDX may need approval from US regarding selling their wares in the US... Also rumours of directors selling and a funding... DYOR though I picked this snippet up from Ample...

EWRobson - 27 Jan 2005 15:58 - 469 of 1003

Thanks, folk! Closed the CFD position at 194p costing about 2K. You win some and lose some! There's not really a resistance level until 120p, the level in November; only time will tell.

Dynamite - 27 Jan 2005 16:02 - 470 of 1003

Well Eric I for one would be happy with buying back at 120. That was the last price I bought before the recent rally and selling. This little baby is probably going to go to 3 in 2005 but I see a big retracement first and I am ready and waiting.

EWRobson - 27 Jan 2005 16:15 - 471 of 1003

Thanks Diana; nice profit to bag still. Just got a bit ahead of itself. Something like a Coca-Cola world wide deal would do no end of good. My broker indicated a volume of institutional selling and that's very much a club that acts together, don't you think. Personally, I would like to understand the deal structuring better which hopefully will come with the results.

Dynamite - 27 Jan 2005 16:22 - 472 of 1003

That's why SEO is better in a way. But PDX is brilliant too. Have you got some KMR, NOP and OXB too? My portfolio is up 30% in a week.Yay!

EWRobson - 27 Jan 2005 16:53 - 473 of 1003

There you are, Diana, fulfilling your stock-picker role! Haven't got 'em but will take a look. 30% jump on CFP and 100% on SEO because of CFD leverage, so near your figure despite PDX and ASC. You should have been in the ASC Challenge but you are probably too occupied making real money!
