Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Rubbish.
It is called tit for tat.

Is that a 'Boris 99%' or merely an approximation?
Some Boris quotes:
On being appointed Foreign Secretary: “[I am] obviously very humbled, very proud to be offered this chance.”
On ever becoming Prime Minister: “My chances of being PM are about as good as the chances of finding Elvis on Mars, or my being reincarnated as an olive.” (Said in 2004)
On the EU: “It is a stitch-up. It is the biggest stitch-up since the Bayeaux Tapestry.”
On schools: “I’d like thousands of schools as good as the one I went to, Eton.”
On voting Tory: “Voting Tory will cause your wife to have bigger breasts and increase your chances of owning a BMW M3.”
On the Lib Dems: “The Lib Dems are not just empty. They are a void within a vacuum surrounded by a vast inanition.”
On rich people: “We should be helping all those who can to join the ranks of the super-rich, and we should stop any bashing or moaning or preaching or bitching and simply give thanks for the prodigious sums of money that they are contributing to the tax revenues of this country.”
On the London Labour Party: “Trots and militants with vested interests...and indeed interesting vests. They are the people who idolise Hugo Chavez and toast the revolution in taxpayer funded vintage burgundy.”
On Ukip: “I can hardly condemn UKIP as a bunch of boss-eyed, foam-flecked Euro-hysterics, when I have been sometimes not far short of boss-eyed, foam-flecked hysteria myself.”
On cake: “My policy on cake is pro having it and pro eating it.”
As you can now most probably deduce, if it was a 'Boris 99%' you meant, then it might only mean '98%' because he does sorta kinda 'flower things up a bit'.
IMHO, of late Fred is coming over as being extremely pissed off with most things in general. One thing that's upsetting him might be Brexit but it is just possible he might be losing quite a lot of money. The volatility on stock prices is truly astonishing, particularly the FTSE 250 which isn't really coming back to recover its losses.
But I could be wrong. But he is in a diabolically bad mood.

Fred's (portnoy's) complaint: he can see it, and doesent like it, but theres nothing he can do about it....and he cant even admit it :-)
On the London Labour Party: “Trots and militants with vested interests...and indeed interesting vests. They are the people who idolise Hugo Chavez and toast the revolution in taxpayer funded vintage burgundy.”

Exec,
Not doing badly financially, could be better.
But I am fed up with the infantile or immature antics of a lot of the political "representatives" and the "seeming" basis for their decision making.
The "reported" debates of seems to be at the level of student union debating societies and show a similar lack of responsibility.
Also, like this thread, participants and media seem more interested in character assassination than defeating or modifying arguments or policies to be more feasible and beneficial to "all".

Yes, I am more than disappointed at so-called Brexit result and the ongoing confusion and chaos it may produce, with little change the "exit" will actually produce.
I still think, that it would be more effective and "cheaper" to negotiate from in the "club" than attempting the same from without.
However, from what I can see, the stumbling blocks and disadvantages of "escaping" from the EU are becoming more and more evident and the progress of the "revolution" will be minimal, even if it will be an expensive and provide a "gravy train" and hopefully a "political coffin" for some of the advocates of "leave".

participants seem more interested in character assassination ....... fred, you must have looked in the mirror at last
i disagree with you about the referendum result, though for sure we are all in for an uncomfortable ride
ultimately, i could see no way that there was any will for the eu hierarchy to reform while uk remained in; they would all just continue as before towards an ever more federal europe - not my idea of fun
as previously posted, i hope uk has, at the very least, provided a catalyst for the large minority across europe to make themselves heard for root and branch reform
imo, eu should pretty much revert to being the economic bloc for which which it was originally formed - hence EEC

My criticism of Cameron and Osborne has proved correct.
Even the new tory "hierarchy" has turned its back them, their policies and their mates.
Interesting that Cruella may live up to her nickname.
We will see.

Strangely I have a reasonable regard for Davis, at least I think him reasonably honest, while his "co-conspirators" Foxy and Borzi I would think are psychopaths.
While Dumbo is being Dumbo waiting for Freda to take him for walks.
