Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Digger - 10 Mar 2006 08:18 - 4570 of 7315

I logged in this am using ffox then closed it and opened advent to access l2 and the site after loading l2 I was then logged out as the site stated that I had logged in from another comp.As I had not done this I am at a loss to know how to overcome this other than a reboot .

IanT(MoneyAM) - 10 Mar 2006 08:21 - 4571 of 7315

Digger,

It is caused by a cookie - you logged in with firefox, even though you closed it, you were still logged in. Then wehen you logged in using a different methos, the system showed you as logged in on 2 different platforms which is why it did this.

If you clear out cookies, and resatrt you should be fine.

Ian, thanks for the answers re. changing stockwatch names.

I have looked at your instructions, and it was what I was trying, and didn't seem to work. I've tried again, and still no luck.

This is what I'm doing ;

..On a Stockwatch page, Click 'Edit this watchlist'.
..Brings up a page entitled 'Edit Watch List', with data entry boxes for 'Watchlist Name', 'Epic Codes', etc.
..Try to alter the name in the 'Watchlist Name' box.
..Cursor won't go into this box. It is possible to highlight the current name, however this is not affected by any typing.
.. I can amend the entries in the 'Epic codes' boxe, without any problems.

I've tried both Firefox and IE, and done this on 2 different PC's.

Please could you advise what I'm doing wrong.

Thanks, D.

D,

Might be nothing - I will get JT to take a look at this as we have on occasion in the past had problems with the edit function. In the meantime, if you want to mail me deatils of the title and what you want it changed to, we will be able to do this for you,

Dieng - 10 Mar 2006 12:46 - 4577 of 7315

Ian, thanks for the offer, but it doesn't justify you having to do it manually.

I just wait for the function to be mended.

Thanks.

dell314 - 13 Mar 2006 07:45 - 4578 of 7315

Ian - Majority of RNS news appears to be missing again, this morning.
Likewise on UKwire, so it looks like a provider issue. Can you chase them, please.

Cheers,
dell

Apologies for that - I will contact our suppliers now,
