How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

If anyone's on the tennis there are unbelievable volumes on the Fed v Hewitt match.
If you're on Betangle, the graphs are picking people out there more than willing to lump on 50K+ on Fed at odds as low as 1.02!
Then again, Fed being 2-0 up in sets and 2-1 up in the 3rd set must be inspiring such people to have the confidence to do this type of backing.

These high roller backers must be having a few palpitations as its now 2-1 in sets to Fed with the odds at 1.10/1.11

Just been checking Fed v Agassi head to head. Fed leads 7-3 but Fed has won their last 7 encounters. Last time Agassi took the glory was way back in 2002.
See link for full details.

Anyone on the cricket today?
With the Aussies still short of Eng's total and with 4 wickets remaining I don't think they'll be too far ahead by the end of their innings.
All Eng have to do is to occupy the crease for as long as possible. Easier said than done and I'm sure Warne will want his say. Even if it doesn't rain, Eng will be back in the pavillion as soon as the light is offered.
I'm still sticking to my Draw which is looking more and more likely.

Bak
green from yesterday and trying just to watch.
Big worry is we are going to struggle batting in these conditions this afternoon. Effectively becoming a 1 innings game - how are Aus 3.4 and England 8.6 just because they need to win - if its going to be a low scoring second innings could go either way

Steve,
Having seen the last few wickets go, I agree with you.
I'm nipping out soon so will have to green up. Not as high a green as earlier today but not complaining.

What a mesmerising game of cricket!
Very green at present but having to sit on my hands to avoid the temptation of nicking a few more trades.
