MELDEX. Double your money- quicktime. (MDX)

kitosdad - 12 Dec 2007 16:20

The engines have fired up at last for MDX. ( BPRG ) At long last they are being recognised for the force they will become over the next two years. On the cusp of disclosing huge revenue-earning deals with Global pharmacists. These have been hinted at as being unrolled before the years end, but may be in the next days. You still have time to get in at a bargain-basement price before the SP takes off for real shortly.

littlebert2 - 27 Jun 2008 10:29 - 458 of 8631

Suppose I'd kick, bite, lie, and cheat in a fight to keep a 600k pa job - and just as hard to get my hands on a company worth 1+ a share for 30p a share.... :-)

scotinvestor - 27 Jun 2008 10:58 - 459 of 8631

I think the root cause of this farce is that BM did not understand what drives RT and that RT would do everything possible to thwart a takeover at this stage while RT did not understand how investors would react to the long drawn out bid process and to the rejection of all proposals.

It is possible that BM never had enough backing for a realistic bid and he was only trying to act as a catalyst to encourage other bidders or he may have expected RT to cave in to an offer that more than doubled the SP.

Whatever the truth of the matter, there were too many hot-headed investors who had banked on a quick sale and were easy targets for shorters once the offers collapsed. I suspect the SP would be a lot healthier had BM never rekindled his interest in the company

tabasco - 27 Jun 2008 12:17 - 460 of 8631

I would love to understand the situation Scotty.everybody acts for a gain in some way.. its human nature. RT did not want a takeoverBM has a large financial interestevery single piece of news has apparently been designed to murder the SP other than the initial approach. The SP would have certainly been much healthier had there been no approach. End of the day RT position not a banker.BM done his Boll**ks..Peter Ibbetson goes crying to his mummy investors not exactly happy bunniesthe only gainers were the shorters And they just used the fiasco. I personally think BM was far more sure of his position and his actions than most people thought.I think unfortunately he did have the backing.. I cannot see him throwing away telephone numbers just as a vendetta.. would you drive a price down if you were sitting with a shed loadunless you were guaranteed to be the winner. I dont think BM is used to coming second. I hope Im wrong! either way mdx will grow!

littlebert2 - 27 Jun 2008 12:20 - 461 of 8631

'Grow' from todays position is almost a certainty - which is ok if you got in at todays prices.... not if 'grow' only equates to a return to what it was before the schoolyard spat!

tabasco - 27 Jun 2008 12:31 - 462 of 8631

Bert I need 58p to get level. But mdx still owes me nothing!

tabasco - 27 Jun 2008 12:33 - 463 of 8631

And I can still laugh and tell a joke.

AGM was a sorry washing of underwear in Public - a pretty poor example for anyone thinking of buying stock. Luckily it wasn't raining - the queue was right round the corner in the street. What a way to run a business - ( -you'd think this was 30bnTesco - with their Healthy Chicken and US-Union woes!!). This is AIM_minor company and yet the AGM was like a military operation. (The disgraceful E-mail was shown - I saw but one...the work of an educated nutter, probably distraught at their losses! ).

I'm inclined to agree with Tabasco (today) - that explains the fiasco that was the sp rise early in the year. I'm surprised that AIM-Rules don't require a Bidder supports a bid for at least the current sp ( or whatever sp they offer), just as an Estate Agent will enquire of Buyers if they have the means before showing them expensive houses.

Furthermore I'm not convinced by MDX "official-line" that they are a young pharma - where the sp is not related to the Management efforts (hence their Bonuses!)- and that this is now a stronger business - er, was it so bad as "belly-up" in 2005? If it was, they never said, did they?
Anyway this ISN'T like a small pharma - trying to make the Big-Time . . . .IMHO - - since they have bought products that already existed....their "contribution" is to apply some film and a lot of ballyhoo about the "improvement"....as far as I discern!
Well, IMHO, an improvement is one that adds value beyond all expectations....COMPARE: a roll of go-faster tape (on a beat-up car) - is practically worthless....whereas a DIY sport-car conversion ( kit-car), means your running gear remain and the style/pulling-power, performance is like a Porsche. THAT is what I'd like for the price of Go-Faster tape, - however unrealistic.

MDX is supplying old products in go-faster packing....that may be unkind, but it is closer to the reality - as I see little "Developemnt at fundamental level" - NOR do I see any Regulated Trials - a hallmark of any early-stage drug-discovery pharma.
- - - - - Now who is right? - - - -
- For my impression is that the company continues to blurr these issues and by not selling into UK-retail, you cannot look at the shelves in Boots and see how they stack-up (no Pun) against the alternatives.

Littlebert are you a believer in this Company? - or do you think the sp "can't get any worse" - (well it can and I'll not be surprised we see 20p's) - the splat as you imply did not help - but the sp was trending down even before Bids fortutously helped the sp. When, for example, do you think there will be a dividend? - this Co is about 10-years old (way back), yet a Name-change and lots of purchases don't appear to have made "returns" any clearer....although Directors appear pleased with progress I don't get the impression many present agree, although their signals are somewhat confusing.

=All IMHO - - all other views - - put 'em here!

If this is the beginning of a large Profitable business let;s hope it's soon.

Dil - 27 Jun 2008 13:23 - 465 of 8631

Oh well 20p it is then.

scotinvestor - 27 Jun 2008 15:19 - 466 of 8631

it was 10p about a week or so ago....so thats 100% improvement already

when u say its 40p, i know price will be 1 plus

anyway this was always a long term hold for me.....just that in jan it seemed we would be getting much higher sp rather than other way around......ah well another year or so aint going to do much harm.....should be a change of gov too...yay

littlebert2 - 27 Jun 2008 15:26 - 467 of 8631

where? Rhodesia? Whoops, slip of the old colonial tongue there, as the old girl knows I like :-)

Hangon - a believer only that the SP will rise, which is why I bought in this morning - don't care about the company as long as the SP rises - no matter who wins a power struggle, it always stabilises / benefits the SP of a troubled company.....

Dil - 27 Jun 2008 15:27 - 468 of 8631

Last time I said 40p you bit my head off scotty , how times have changed :-)

tabasco - 27 Jun 2008 15:28 - 469 of 8631

scotinvestor - 27 Jun 2008 15:48 - 472 of 8631

i dont think shorting should be allowed.......if everyone bought company shares, how would a fund or person be able to short? in this market, u could short anything just about.

Scotty I sometimes work in London[that will make me popular].not as one of the Ratsbut if you want to be truly depressed I could finish you off. I have spoken to immigration where the police have to deal with massive crime particularly fraud, they cannot get a prosecution so they deport only to find them re-entering within a month with forged papers TB is rifefor every decent British citizen that leaves in despairtwo gypsies.. tramps or thieves take their placeand they dont get sent down unless they commit a cardinal crime. My wife is a manager at M&S..her security guards regularly catch the above named and the Police have not got the resources to arrestor even turn up sometimes...they get let off time and time again Last week a Polish woman in her fifties had only been in the Country two weeks.caught with stolen goods.. Police let her off. Immigration have told me we are past the point of no returnfinished. Had it the end Dot Comthere is no way back. If I stood up at Hyde Park with these views I would probably get lynched.mainly because the majority of the audience would be gypsies..tramps..and thieves. Britain is finishedand I have not even started politically.
Scotty it isnt that your past caring..its because you do care!!
I will be gone in a few years!!

scotinvestor - 27 Jun 2008 16:35 - 475 of 8631

i only went to london about 8 years ago....i was shocked! are there any english in london left?

i think most poles are decent......i have been to poland 3 times....having said that, a lot of poles here cant speak english....i think its just the desperate ones that come here.
aye, i think england from the various stories i hear is totally finished.....i used to be considered cynical 4 or 5 years ago .....anyway i did leave but came back 18 months later as my dads health s poor these days.
5 million brits have left.....in that case, 10 million ragheads and gypsies have arrived.
actually i been to romania too and there r decent people, its just gypies give them a bad name......same in hungary......funnily enough, most decent people in these countries dont leave.
of course people hear of our great welfare system and want to abuse it.

yes, i do care......also, being educated or super educated by uk standards these days doesnt help.....i work in industry where people higher up look at my education and high work ethic and see me as a threat.

so much for blair and education education education.
yes, blair brought in all these ragheads etc....and sent 6000 from south england to scotland in 1 day.

i think in about 10 years time people in uk will see the awful consequences of emperor blair.......no boom but bust, no freedom, vast costs for iraq, bad image of uk cos of iraq, political driven house prices leading to house collapse, amount of people going bankrupt exponentially rising, crime soaring esp shootings and stabbings.....actually scotland is murder capital of europe.....and uk is shopliting capital of europe.....and we are drug capital of europe too.

right i better go and get some pills and bottle of whisky!
