THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Thanks ExecLine....saw the baby elephant story on the internet...cheers...

ExecLine - 12 Sep 2014 09:40 - 45748 of 81564

Have another read.

I don't think you can have seen, that this baby came from a 'slaughtered by poachers herd', which had a size of 100 elephants.

:-(

On the BBC internet news site.....I watch that more than the TV news....not too keen on seeing the slaughter....the rescue yes.....something needs to done about the murdering negro poachers out there...

Haystack - 12 Sep 2014 10:29 - 45750 of 81564

It stretches back to the murdering Chinese who buy the ivory. You won't stop the poaching while there is a market for the tusks. The poachers have no interest in the elephants and just want some money. There will always be be people willing to do something illegal for cash.

VICTIM - 12 Sep 2014 10:39 - 45751 of 81564

Haystack is that the right person for Clacton.

ExecLine - 12 Sep 2014 10:57 - 45752 of 81564

rf

Hmmm?

On the one hand you say:

"Heavens help those who badly treat elephants and I catch up with them...."

And then on the other hand a little later, after you've read about a big herd of 100 elephants being slaughtered, you say:

not too keen on seeing the slaughter....

Hmmm? Your opinions just don't seem to equate, IMHO.

Ten Arab states, led by Saudi Arabia, announced during a visit by John Kerry, secretary of state, that they would join the US in a strategy to destroy the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant, known as Isis, “wherever it is, including in both Iraq and Syria”.

oh really?????
and from where do ISIS get swathes of money?

MaxK - 12 Sep 2014 11:25 - 45754 of 81564

Stop asking awkward questions c.

cynic - 12 Sep 2014 11:33 - 45755 of 81564

i assume you also noted that, inter alia, russia opposes air strikes against ISIS
why would that be?
