It is not a question of whether the Judge thought that he committed murder. I can imagine that she thought he did. It is the lack of evidence of intent that is required for murder. It will be interesting to see the sentence. That may indicate how close she was to a murder verdict. We will have to wait about a month before sentencing.

If you own a gun and think you have an intruder in your toilet, before you start shooting don't you shout something along the lines of -----"I've got a loaded gun, so come out with your hands behind your back". To say that Pistorius seems to have been given the benefit of any doubt is putting it mildly. The gun laws in South Africa seem to be as non-existent as the gun laws in America.

Youve got to remember though that S Africa is still a very violent country when it comes to the blacks who regulary break into the rich white populations houses and burgal/steal from them.

Wether the bloke is guilty or not Im not quite sure, I would have prefered a jury to have made the decision.

The judge said that there was no evidence that he thought he would kill the person on the other side of the door. Had there been no door and he shot at the person then it would have been different. The state can appeal the verdict. Even with a jury, the judge would have directed them in the same direction.

Fire four 9mm rounds through a door, but expect not to hurt someone on the other side?

Asian shops are excellent. They are usually run better than English shops. They have a better idea of service to the customer. Longer opening hours and larger stock. Most Asian people are very pleasant and not the slightest bit interested in terrorism.
