Solid start this morning.

BD horizontaly yes and then 130p.

In fact resistance 106/108p followed by 130p and 140p.

Seems to be plenty of resistance to uper 90's?

Sub 90p would seem a worthwhile top up level for those still following this one, imo.

AFR really is having huge difficulty holding above 90, which is more annoying than anything else ..... sooner or later it will escape that straightjacket

serious profit taking going on, where will it stabilise?

quite heavy traffic here today ..... 16m traded already against average of 6m ..... perhaps someone offloading a stock judging by sp performance - mind you, everything has turned pretty soggy (even HAWK lol!)

That was a crazy ride for a hour or so! 86.5 offer but now back up to 88p.

BROKER CALL: Morgan Stanley an Afren fan

Broker repeats its overweight recommendation and 110p a share price target after a 'strong and concise' presentation to the Morgan Stanley London sales-force. The chat underpinned the strong growth story at Afren underpinned by appraisal work being undertaken in Nigeria. Also revealed during the meeting was the fact that a main London listing could come as early as December. Morgan Stanley in research note, tells clients: 'The move to London's main board (a listing could be as early as December) should increase Afren's profile and increase liquidity. Our base case NAV is 109p/sh (forward curve) but increased confidence on development of Ebok and de-risking of the resource potential implies an upside case north of 150p/sh. Afren remains one of our top picks in UK E&Ps.'

A main listing as early as december......Nice.

This will overshoot 150p imo, 200p is a very slim possibility(xmas;-)) and the upward momentum is very strong, people are topping up?

Exploration group Afren slipped 5.1 per cent to 88p on profit-taking after a good run. There was also talk that Afren was working on an acquisition. The company has formed a Nigerian subsidiary to help it acquire oil and gas assets.

FURTHER ACCEPTANCES AND APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO TRADING ON AIM









As at 1.00 PM on 7 October 2009, ADVFN either owned or had received valid acceptances in respect of 29,913,988 ALL IPO Shares, representing approximately 98.58 per cent of the issued share capital of ALL IPO.







As a result of New ADVFN Shares to be issued in respect of the increased acceptances, application has been made for 245,072 New ADVFN Shares to be traded on AIM. It is expected that the New ADVFN Shares will commence trading on 20 October 2009.





Following the issue of these New ADVFN Shares, there will be 622,725,962 ADVFN Shares in issue, each carrying one voting right. ADVFN holds none of its own shares in treasury.




The Offer and the Cash Alternative closed at midnight on the 7th October 2009.

The trading on AIM of ALL IPO Shares was canceled on 27 August 2009 and notice has been sent to non-assenting shareholders regarding the compulsory acquisition of their shares.
