Cybit the best telematics play (CYH)

Still Waiting - 21 Sep 2003 22:33

The chart for this stock says it all.

The company is quickly becoming a real gem in the telematics field, over the last month the co. has announced re-seller contracts which will bring in min. 2m or >30% of last years T/O alone.

The company is already experiencing massive organic growth so the co. should be profitable now following last years 500k loss.

The co. has approx. 6m cash and is in one of the hottest growth areas at the moment.

With a market cap. of 25m this will be re-rated x2/3 minimum within the next 6-12 months IMHO.

MM buys went through on Friday with T/O continuing to build, one to put on your monitor...

Have you seen the latest RNS?

In addition to the Director Kevin Lawrence buying some shares, a two other directors Richard Horsman & Neil Johnson has just be given a "few" share options @ 3p excerisable in the next 10 years. - Must think the companys share price is at bottom to put them in place now!

Well spotted Little Woman - clearly the folk in the know realise it is a great time to buy - wish I had some more cash...

Pumacat - 28 Nov 2003 15:50 - 461 of 3104

I actually work in local authorities and the big problem for something like this is the unions. However as noted on this board before if employers can utilise this product from a safety point of view it will negate a lot of those arguments of big brother (more like concerned parents.

There is already a legal duty for employers to take care of their workers. However the new phone laws in december will also mean some employers could be held liable for actions of their employees using mobile phones. This is not a prospect that loacl authorites with an eye on council tax increases will be savouring.

beaufort1 - 28 Nov 2003 16:08 - 462 of 3104

Yep the unions won't like it but the big employers can play the employee protection card and as Pumacat says also employes will now be liable legally if their employees mow down a bus queue while chatting on their mobiles (I know I am a lawyer!). So I think the telematics wave will soon wash away the unions' defences (so to speak).

What system do a huge company like Eddie Stobart or Lynx couriers use anyone?

little woman - 28 Nov 2003 16:17 - 464 of 3104

You must likely find they don't use anyone at all - thats why theres a big market out there!

little woman - 28 Nov 2003 16:46 - 465 of 3104

I couldn't encourage everyone to have a go at the FTSE competition for Dec? Deadline is when the market opens Monday.

It's Owls last month (unless we can convince him to keep going) and moneyam, very kindly donate a Oddbins voucher to the monthly winner.

Even if you don't have a clue - make up a number - or get your partner/child give you a number! (Very scientific!) The more people the more interesting/fun it is!

Acquisitions eyed after Cybit surge
By Business Weekly, 28 November 2003

Cybit Holdings in Bedford, one of the UKs fastest growing telematics service providers, has moved into profit for the first time in some style.

Cybit Holdings in Bedford, one of the UKs fastest growing telematics service providers, has moved into profit for the first time in some style.

Turnover has increased 79 per cent to just under 4m for the six months to the end of September. Cybit generated a maiden profit before tax of 38,000 for the period and said a threefold increase in average customer fleet size was now being supported by Cybits solution portfolio.

Chairman Neil Johnson also reported significant progress on indirect channels to market through strategic partnerships with Lex Vehicle Leasing and brs Truck Rentals. The company recently raised 4.85 million in a placing.

Johnson said that from a strong financial base, Cybit intended to build the business through both organic and potential acquisition-led growth.

Cybit now has around 450 customers in the UK with more than 8,000 fixed and mobile assets supported by its services.

The volume of business has doubled since the same period last year. The company has completed a number of consulting engagements and contracts with enterprises such as AWG Plc, Fountains Plc and Ryder Plc and aims to further develop these services

Mobile rule already set up so it seemed good for CYH

Golfclub12 - 01 Dec 2003 13:28 - 469 of 3104

So whats the problem today then?

ticker - 01 Dec 2003 14:05 - 470 of 3104

I don't understand it either. Normally, when the directors starting to buy (especially the Finance Director) the share price move upwards but not with CYH.

Golfclub12 - 01 Dec 2003 14:16 - 471 of 3104

We will have to sit tight and be patient!

beaufort1 - 01 Dec 2003 15:12 - 472 of 3104

Volume quite high again today at 4.5m. I don't see the price moving much until we get some more substantial news. Maybe not till the New Year. One to sit tight on. Inclined to top up at these levels.

Douggie - 01 Dec 2003 16:54 - 473 of 3104

if i,d any cash available i,d have more

blakester - 01 Dec 2003 16:56 - 474 of 3104

An excellent set of results, contact wins, director buying and over hyping on this BB and yet down she goes. What gives?

Douggie - 01 Dec 2003 17:02 - 475 of 3104

our patience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-((

blakester - 01 Dec 2003 17:10 - 476 of 3104

I'm a holder so I have a good reason to worry here so if good results, contact wins, director buying and over hyping don't send this stellar, what will? Can anybody advise? If the MMs continue to drive the price down further we're going to be at a penny soon, aren't we?

Golfclub12 - 01 Dec 2003 19:27 - 477 of 3104

All

Have contacted the company via email ,Will have to see what they say.

chrissie - 01 Dec 2003 22:52 - 478 of 3104

Golfclub12

I think that's a good idea.

Not that I think we have anything to worry about with the placement being at 3p and the directors buying at the same price, they must know there are good things to come.

Plus as we have said before the new law re mobile phones in cars, now allows fleet managers to install units without problems from unions etc.

Good luck all
