Socrates - 05 Mar 2004 16:59 - 4606 of 23498

Good evening all, Socco finishes another fraught day in the aviation world. Still, I am buoyed by a blue performance on my portfolio today.

Jeffmack
Have you read about the PTG goings on, moves to eliminate OI, whatever next?

Now if you'll excuse me, it's time to eat my Chicken Pie and count my gains on the day. I'll be back as soon as Securicor have taken my loot to the bank.

Message to the large number of mean people frequenting this joint:

PlusNet are now doing quasi-broadband for 15.99 for 150kbps, 16.99 for 200kbps, and 17.99 for 250kbps, see http://www.plus.net/info2/residential/res_broadband_adsl_connect.html.

Proper broadband (512kbps) is only 18.99, see http://www.plus.net/info2/residential/res_broadband_adslhomesurf_selfinstall.html.

There are a couple of restrictions e.g. no P2P programs (Kazaa etc.) and no binary newsgroups.

jeffmack - 05 Mar 2004 18:36 - 4609 of 23498

Socs
The 10p a share bit should see them storming ahead on Monday

jgp212 - 05 Mar 2004 19:38 - 4610 of 23498

8 Ball - 05 Mar 2004 23:32 - 4611 of 23498

Just popped in to see how you all are.

As for "too tight fisted for broadband" chance would be a fine thing.
Living in a 3rd world country we are still waiting, should be here soon.
Then we just need the electric and it's all go.......
We may even get our own hospitals too, well we live in hope.
Anyone got a cheap braodband deal, Tiscali are offering a 3x for 14 a month.

Socrates - 06 Mar 2004 09:00 - 4612 of 23498

Good morning all, much speculation going on about PTG, such fun. Anyone for brekkies, full English?

jeffmack - 06 Mar 2004 11:18 - 4613 of 23498

Morning

Are we having a horse race today pooch? 3:30 Newbury would be a good choice, very open race.

jeffmack - 07 Mar 2004 11:06 - 4614 of 23498

Wel I'm not making the FEB, thats Socs job. So Muesli it is, which, by the way, is good for your mojo.

Socrates - 07 Mar 2004 13:36 - 4615 of 23498

Jeffmack
It's only a marketing ploy you know! What do you think of the PTG rumours? The posters on advfn are going bananas with speculation. Takeover at 10p, 35p or what, or nothing maybe.

jeffmack - 07 Mar 2004 15:05 - 4616 of 23498

Socs
Will be a good short at 10p

Socrates - 07 Mar 2004 17:40 - 4617 of 23498

Jeff I think that would be a bad idea. General opinion is that 10p won't do it and the offer would have to be increased. I shall wait and see, as always.

jeffmack - 07 Mar 2004 18:01 - 4618 of 23498

Socs
You were the one preaching the other day about how these offers come to nothing. I truely think its all hot air.
