Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi on Monday demanded that Bahraini leaders be wise and not use violence in their handling of anti-government protests .... clearly a case of, "don't do as i do but do as i say"!!
==========
by the way, my eye-witness reported a couple of hours back that saudi tanks were moving into bahrain ..... curiously no mention of that in internet news

Expect a large fall of stock's, and indices on Monday due to the Japenese situation.
cynic - 12 Mar 2011 18:04 - 39 of 48

you must admit it took a while to filter through and i would hazard that even now it is not as vicious as you anticipated ..... in reality, neither london not dow are down that badly
========
bahrain
complete lockdown
airport is closed (sealed off is prob more accurate) and the streets deserted ..... about 100 saudi tanks crossed the causeway, with about half going off to guard the palace at riffa and the balance parked up at the airport
the causeway is also probably closed too, not that anyone much wants to use it for now

FTSE closes firmly lower as Japan disaster spooks markets
StockMarketWire.com
END-OF-DAY REPORT: Headline shares closed firmly lower, as investors assessed the economic realities of the disaster in Japan, and fret over news of escalating violence in Libya, with losses broad-based.
At the close of business, the FTSE100 was down 53.43 points at 5,775.24 with the FTSE250 off 59.87 points at 11,349.66 and the FTSE Smallcaps 32.27 points lower at 3,189.36.
Do you comprehend Firmly lower
Mr.C is it that hard to admit that you were wrong. I suppose all you holdings were blue.

silly ass! ...... meanwhile, on balance i think the EU/NATO (or whatever) response is pretty pathetic, but i guess pretty much as might have been expected ....
G8 nations have warned Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi he faces "dire consequences" if he ignores the basic rights of his people but stopped short of recommending a no-fly zone
