anyone for Zi Med. ? (ZIM)

skyhigh - 15 Dec 2003 16:16

Is anyone into Zi Medical like me ? Gone up a penny today to 7.6p on strength of Sunday Telegraph article - it's looking better, at long last !

skyhigh - 12 May 2004 09:11 - 46 of 103

Drinkgood must have been lost for words, speachless even !

Anyway, I wonder if we'll see blue as we head towards the end of this week.
Just a hunch, I think we'll start to see the price head north gradually and good news will be released in the next month or two. Will need to be patient. All last year the price did nothing, then exploded in Jan. I think the same sort of thing will happen again (IMHO, DOYR) ... good luck all :)

hilldee - 12 May 2004 09:48 - 47 of 103

have been away and NEVER use my PC whilst I am relaxing - as I have discovered, its all too stimulating. Cant quite find WHY the drop in ZI and I have to agree with O,Neill that it will be surprising if they reach the levels so far attained this year - but that doesnt mean that there wont be the potential for some profit. How many of you could actually have achieved the sale prices of 25p and how many other stupid b.....s actually PAID these prices. Is anyone in touch with reality out there? If you are prepared to pay 27p for a share that was 4p two weeks before, without any HARD news, then go tothe back of the class.

hilldee - 17 May 2004 13:03 - 48 of 103

oneill
have you ever heard of 'shaking the tree'? This one does have the potential, if it keeps its head. It really is what another is prepared to pay for the company and - in five years time - that, might, be 25p. There have been rumors that there is a company out there interested but that the largest holder wants MORE (and who can blame him if its all going to plan, why have somebody else pick up the profit) Trouble with todays children is that they want it all AND NOW. Life has taught me you have to be patient

drinkgood - 18 May 2004 00:35 - 49 of 103

As one of the silly prats who bought this share at a high being less informed than I am now not particulary inclined to continue the agony. I would have had more pleasure from shaking something else against a wall having indirectly invested in brewery shares..!!

skyhigh - 19 May 2004 13:19 - 50 of 103

Yep, good gains today, bought in again earlier this morning at 10.77p,
Yes, 30p is a long way off.ie Oct/Nov as, that is when interims will be released that will report on how well sales are going on RedEye.
However, 30p may arrive sooner than you think as we might get a positive trading statement between now and then, also contract setups & product development news. I'd be very surprised if we didn't hear anything at all in the next 5/6 mnths (IMHO,DYOR,PYO) :)

BANKONE - 11 Jun 2004 11:39 - 51 of 103

Good morning Zi maybe redeye and other products about to relaunch this company into good value perhaps the 25 - 30p may come sooner than Oct Nov. The meeting today has a positive statement and maybe more good news will be released following it. For your info copy of chairmans statement at AGM to be held today.Good luckZi Medical PLC
11 June 2004

11th June 2004

Zi Medical PLC ('the Company')

Zi Medical specialises in the development of medical devices, focusing on
patient safety in the area of fluid infusion.

AGM statement

At the AGM of the Company to be held today, Michael Fort, Chairman, will make
the following statement:

'Trading so far this year has been encouraging and is in line with our
expectations. Following our global distribution agreement with Baxter Healthcare
Corporation, marketing of the Red-Eye infusion monitor is progressing well with
initial indications of sales at an encouraging level. The development of our
medication delivery systems continues ahead of plan. Negotiations with
multi-national organisations tend to be protracted, however, the dialogue is
progressing and I am confident that we will be able to report a second contract
in due course. In addition, we hope to be able to announce in the near future
the launch of our own range of consumables to complement our fluid infusion
devices. These will have the benefit of bringing additional revenue into the
business in the short term.

'In line with our stated intentions in my Chairman's Statement at the year end,
I am pleased to report that we have been able to strengthen our development team
with the appointment of two development engineers. This will not only allow us
to accelerate the commercialisation of our pipeline of products but will also
reduce our reliance on third parties.

'On behalf of the Board I would like to express our appreciation to our
employees and all our shareholders for their continued support.

'We are optimistic that the technical developments currently in train, together
with satisfactory progress of talks with potential marketing partners, will see
your Company achieve its objective in terms of new product launches, thus
significantly extending our market reach.'

I'm still in... It's on the back burner. This one's bubbling under. I still believe that there'll be good news on the new products etc. Should hear during August I reckon or end of Sept. at the very latest (interims). Still worth holding on to. (imho, dyor, pyo) :)

hilldee - 22 Sep 2004 11:52 - 53 of 103

This seems a strange situation. With no justification at all the sort of folk who read these columns recently pushed the price of this stock to 25p, thus causing many of the more canny holders to divest themselves of their holdings and re invest later at around 12p. The recent set of figures, to my mind, are really what one would have hoped for at this stage of development. Certainly, unless there ARE hidden problems, its the sort of progress which is positive BUT suddenly, the price is knocked to 6p. Now, with George Gallaher the holder of 7.693.500 or 10.7% and Michael Fort holding 901.131 or 1.25% we see no immediate desire to vacate the premises - indeed we might, now, have the price at a situation where the rumored bidder feels it would be worth emerging from the woodwork. Does anyone else have any thoughts on this company?

skyhigh - 22 Sep 2004 13:14 - 54 of 103

My thoughts ? It's a bu**er !?
Sales were a little disappointing and a minor setback but that's all.. Big tree shake now going on.. don't know how far down it'll go and for how long..
However, once we see a few contract/deal announcements it might recover. Lets hope it's soon.
What we really need is a good trading update as well with increased revenue in evidence... might need to wait a bit longer for this.. (imho)

daniellamburn - 04 Oct 2004 11:37 - 55 of 103

Read something about Zi selling drip machines to american market in Sunday Express. Tipped it to jump back up to previous levels. Then this morning up 25%. Anybody think this is worth a punt now, I desided against it 12p... wondering whether to get in while at 7.5

skyhigh - 04 Oct 2004 12:17 - 56 of 103

daniellamburn,

I reckon get in at these levels while you can... I've not seen the article but heard about on other BB etc.,
Tipped to turnover at 1m for fy2005. Sales will need to start from Jan onwards and build up through next year. and they still have the syringe driver product coming along after that (12-15months away).
It looks good and when ZIM start announcing more distribution contract deals etc in the remainder of this year, the share will rocket skyhigh ! I'm still a believer, this is what this game is all about...

What level did they say it would go back to ? the 12p or the 30p of earlier this year.

These are my thoughts only.. I could be totally wrong! so as usual imho, dyor, pyo, but if you do go in good luck ! :)

daniellamburn - 04 Oct 2004 12:25 - 57 of 103

Skyhigh,

Thanks for reply... The article just said it would bounce back, not sure what level it was refering to though.

skyhigh - 04 Oct 2004 12:31 - 58 of 103

Ok - thanks. Just thought.. without any positive news in the next couple of weeks the price could drift backdown a bit, maybe even down to sub 6p.. However, I would prefer to be in rather than out as the potential reward is huge. It will bounce substantially if positive news is released by the company (imho, dyor), particularly if they start to get sales in the USA.

BANKONE - 05 Oct 2004 08:47 - 59 of 103

Article in Daily Express Tuesday 5.10.04 : - Share Whisper: ZI MEDICAL (talk tie-up with Baxter was generating healthy sales).

Shares are moving up without volume maybe more than a rumour.

skyhigh - 05 Oct 2004 09:02 - 60 of 103

BANKONE
Thank you for the heads up! Looks as though it's more than a whisper ! (imho)
Are you a ZIM holder ?

Daniellaburn.
Did you decide to go in for some ?

daniellamburn - 05 Oct 2004 09:45 - 61 of 103

No, not yet... ummed and arghed as to whether they were going to drop at end of day. May still get in now before I miss the boat.

hilldee - 05 Oct 2004 11:24 - 62 of 103

NOW a pattern is beginning to emerge and, for one who can read the portents, its a pretty good one. Its becoming evident that this IS a stock where a sensible disposal program can cause a price downturn. No need to go overboard but the price CAN be knocked by about 2.5 pence and that, in a 10p stock is a PROFIT.All that remains, now, is to ride with the highs and buy on the lows.Probably you need to have a reserve of around 100/- and gamble with 25/- to 40/-. The reason I say this is that, if you gamble with all, then you are, inevitably, going to be at the wrong end when the bid finally comes - and bid there will be...but when, thats the BIG question.

skyhigh - 05 Oct 2004 11:52 - 63 of 103

Good post Hilldee..
Need to see if this is just a short term flash in the pan and an opportunity for the mm's to pump & dump and then pick up more at lower prices.. who knows..
Hopefully we'll get a positive rns soon to ensure share price follow through..
onwards & upwards ... :)

BANKONE - 06 Oct 2004 08:29 - 64 of 103

The buys are continuing this morning ratio of 10buys to one sale. Sustained early buying suggests Baxter Healthcare rumour strong. Look forward to a couple of point tick up today.

skyhigh - 06 Oct 2004 09:06 - 65 of 103

Yes, It looks good..up again this morning... Let's hope we see an announcement soon.
