I hope that you've considered the consequences of this charting package. No more revenue from Sharescope advertising !!

James(MoneyAM) - 28 Mar 2006 15:47 - 47 of 124

Hi rpaco,

No problems this end as far as I can see. Perhaps try cancelling the download and trying again?

Thanks, James.

Piptrader - 28 Mar 2006 15:54 - 48 of 124

Is it just me, or are the candlesticks charts not working?

SC - somehow I think they'll more than make up any shortfall in advertising revenues:-)

IanT(MoneyAM) - 28 Mar 2006 15:58 - 49 of 124

Piptrader,

They seem to be working fine here - is it when you select candles on the chart (instead of say a line chart) or something else that is causing the problem? could you give us a little more detail about exactly what is happening for you?

Ian

Cheers, but it's done now so dont bother.

Supermum,

IanT

Many thanks for you replies, I work away from home half the month so that was an important point for me.

Piptrader - 28 Mar 2006 16:22 - 53 of 124

Ian,

I've tracked the problem down - it just goes wrong with one Display Scheme: PinkBlue. With that scheme, you either get line or OHLC bars, regardless of which bar or candlestick icon selected.

All the other Display Schemes work correctly.

Ian,

Any luck on MIKE?

ExecLine - 29 Mar 2006 09:27 - 58 of 124

What do you think, DocProc, about having TWO usernames on a single financial site?

ExecLine - 29 Mar 2006 09:27 - 59 of 124

The mind boggles, ExecLine.

ExecLine - 29 Mar 2006 09:27 - 60 of 124

Are we having what is commonly called a 'Four windows open at the same time conversation", ExecLine?

ExecLine - 29 Mar 2006 09:28 - 61 of 124

Apparently not.

Back to the drawing board.

DocProc - 29 Mar 2006 09:29 - 62 of 124

Hmmm?

I tried a little experiment withe four postings done with two using an 'ExecLine' Log In and two logged in using 'DocProc' Log In, all four windows open on my machine at the same time.

If you have two username identities on here, it would seem you have to 'Log In' (A) and 'Log Out' (A) and then 'Log In' (B) once again to make a posting with a change of your username identity.

MoneyAM does link the two usernames together and will only allow one username to be used at a time. It doesn't semm as though it is posssible to have a 'conversation' with yourself unless you log in and out and in and out, etc, etc.

I do think this is a bit 'wierd' and I don't think it is entirely satisfactory. Albeit, it will make the MoneyAM subscriber figures look great. Ah well.

Isaacs - 29 Mar 2006 10:07 - 63 of 124

Why would you want to be logged in under two users names and have a conversation with yourself anyway? Thought that was reserved was the loonies over on ADVFN.

DocProc - 29 Mar 2006 12:46 - 64 of 124

Well, there are going to be users over here with two usernames now for sure.

Probably there always were. Probably, because users post under a nickname, rather than with a real name, it isn't preventable.

Isaacs, I don't and wouldn't want to do as you suggest and post as a loonie. Nevertheless, I do have strong curiosity and merely wanted to test things out for myself.

I do think you have to watch out for 'what and how' people post on a financial site bulletin board and do your own research into things. There are loonies on the one hand and there are crafty people with strong hidden agendas on the other.

Oh, and please 'lighten up' a bit. Your post reads a little bit like a personal attack. I don't think my stuff deserves it. It was meant to be somewhat educational as well as experimental. :-)

Robb - 29 Mar 2006 14:22 - 65 of 124

Ian

Anything on the MIKE thing. Someone must know???

Thanks
Rob
