Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Symour Clearly, I've emailed you so you'll be able to read my reply.

The BB has reverted to an older version that does not work well with IE 5 and Opera 7. IE 5.5, IE 6 and Netscape 7 are OK.

We're working on getting the new BB back online.

Andy, if that was a reply to me, I still have nothing other than the poster's handle and time/date. Have switched to a different PC without any firewall and still no better. HELP!
edit - now OK with IE6. Thanks.

Dil - 11 Jan 2003 08:28 - 464 of 7315

I keep getting a message when opening threads saying "you are about to view both secure and non secure items" with options ok , cancel etc.

PeterG - 11 Jan 2003 08:42 - 465 of 7315

Is everybody using invisible ink?
When I open a thread I see the first post and below that just the name, date, time and post number info for the rest of the posts. The posts themselves are blank...

PeterG - 11 Jan 2003 08:46 - 466 of 7315

Ok, just seen Martini's thread for Seymour... Looks like I have the problem browser, too. Er, don't bother replying on this thread because I won't see your answer...

Martini - 11 Jan 2003 10:30 - 467 of 7315

Is it me or is the site running slow this morning?

skinny - 11 Jan 2003 11:29 - 468 of 7315

Don't know if it has been mentioned b4 but I cannot change my password - it doesn't recognise my current password!!

Mega Bucks - 11 Jan 2003 13:03 - 469 of 7315

Since the site was updated on friday the bb has been total crap, can see the thread headers and the posters on the thread but no text.
Have sent email to see if there is a problem,no changes this end.
The changes to the stockwatch page is Brill as i was going back to the other side because that was better.

I dont even now if this is getting through to the bb.

Gdub - 11 Jan 2003 13:09 - 470 of 7315

Still can't see the posts on any of the threads.

Could somebody from MoneyAM contact me by email and let me know what's going on please.

jeffmack - 11 Jan 2003 13:51 - 471 of 7315

Dont you just love beta testing

adriand - 11 Jan 2003 18:11 - 472 of 7315

I know its Saturday but I cannot retreive trades for previous days.

hilary - 14 Jan 2003 11:06 - 473 of 7315

I've had to log-in half a dozen times already this morning. Is it just me?

Paulismyname - 14 Jan 2003 11:14 - 474 of 7315

Also having log in problems

Juzzle - 14 Jan 2003 11:23 - 475 of 7315

Hilary/Paul - I keep seeing repeats of the login page whenever I return to any history MoneyAM page from elsewhere, but I find if I ignore it and select required tab that takes me in OK. Did get a timed out attempt on BB list one time though, with this message: Can't contact servlet runner at 127.0.0.1:6802

Forwood - 14 Jan 2003 11:30 - 476 of 7315

I also had the Can't contact servlet runner at 127.0.0.1:6802 message for the BBs. Repeat sign ins seem to be a feature of the past few days.

ipenning - 14 Jan 2003 11:47 - 477 of 7315

All - we think the last update, which went in at around 11:15, might have solved the problem of unnecessary login requests from the BB - if you have seen this problem after about 11:30 today, please let us know!

There is also now a checkbox on the login page to allow your username/password to be remembered, so this should make logging in a much more pleasurable experience...

SCE (Surface Transforms) has an EPIC-sharing problem with the slightly-larger, but-traded-on-the-Paris-exchange, Edison Intl. So both companies' news/RNS etc is on the one code. Is it possible to separate them .... and, for some reason, SCE does not appear to have it's last annual accounts on the 'Research' tab.

Sonofagun - 14 Jan 2003 20:10 - 479 of 7315

No change with Login problems-still there & unresolved
Can get in finally but it's becoming a pain in the Butt
Colours on Stockwatch page still not clear enough-I want RED not muddy brown:))

MightyMicro - 14 Jan 2003 22:15 - 480 of 7315

Sonofagun: can you give us a more complete description of what happens on your login?

Also, that muddy brown is burgundy! Colours are a difficult thing to get right because of the huge variety of client rendering devices (screens, graphics cards, resolutions, browsers etc) and because of individual preferences.

The human factors engineers will tell you that nodody in his right mind would pick red and green as distinguishing colours for stock prices or traffic lights, as over 5% of the male population of the UK cannot distinguish those colours from each other (explains the behavious of some drivers, anyway).

However, thanks for your input, it's valuable to us, let's see what we can do.

Cheers

Derek (IST and MoneyAM)

Big Al - 14 Jan 2003 22:21 - 481 of 7315

Sonofagun - are you colour blind? I quite like the "muddy brown". Maybe a touch lighter, but that's it.

Havne't relogged in since update so will see what tomorrow brings.

When will the S&P and Nasdaq numbers and changes be correct on my Stockwatch? I seem to have the correct value, but chg and %chg are always zero. Am assuming it's a feed thing and have mentioned it before but no info yet.
